I just picked up my new Defender 90 and I’m worried about the interior getting trashed by my muddy hiking gear and wet dog. I need a rugged, 100% waterproof liner that fits the 90's specific dimensions perfectly without sliding around. Is the OEM version the best bet, or is there a better-fitting aftermarket option you’d recommend?

Honestly, I'd be careful with the OEM rubber mat because it doesn't have high enough lips to catch spills. For a wet dog, you want a "tray" style. I compared WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit for Defender 90 against the Rough Country Cargo Liner for Land Rover Defender 90. The WeatherTech has a way better grip on the floor, while the Rough Country is a bit too slippery for dogs. IMO, the WeatherTech FloorLiner is the safest bet to keep mud contained.
Honestly, I had issues with the OEM mat not covering the seat backs when they're folded down, which is a total nightmare with a wet dog. For your situation, I would suggest the Canvasback Land Rover Defender 90 Cargo Liner. It's 100% waterproof and actually fastens to the trim so it doesn't slide around. It's way more cost-effective than the dealer options and covers every inch of that rear space. 🐕

Hey! Congrats on the new ride! I totally get the stress—I was so terrified of ruining my Defender's interior after our first muddy hike. For your situation, I would suggest the Land Rover Defender 90 Luxury Carpet Mat Set for daily use, but for the trunk, the Land Rover Defender 90 Loadspace Rubber Mat is honestly a lifesaver! It fits those tricky dimensions perfectly and doesn't slide an inch, even with my big wet dog jumping around back there. I tried a generic one first, but it was a total mess and kept bunching up. Seriously, sticking with the OEM rubber version is fantastic because you can just hose it off. It’s definitely worth it to keep that new car smell! Hope this helps!
tbh I've been on these forums for ages, but I'm still kind of a beginner when it comes to the new 90 accessories. I’m a total DIY person though and didn't want to pay the dealer to "install" something so simple. I ended up getting the Smartliner Custom Fit Cargo Liner and it was basically a five-minute job to get it sorted. It fits REALLY well for the price compared to the fancy options. I’m just wondering if anyone knows if these things hold up to dog claws? I’m worried my lab might scratch through the plastic stuff eventually, but for now, it's keeping the mud off the carpet. It’s a solid self-service option if you don’t want to overthink it.
