Which interior protection accessories are recommended for the Range Rover Velar?

I just picked up my new Velar and the interior is absolutely stunning, but I’m already nervous about keeping it pristine. With the dual-screen setup being a fingerprint magnet and the light Windsor leather I chose, I want to protect it without ruining the sleek aesthetic. Does anyone have specific recommendations for high-quality screen protectors or leather ceramic coatings that actually work? I’m also looking for a durable cargo liner for my dog that fits perfectly. Are the official Land Rover accessories worth the premium, or is there a specific aftermarket brand you’d suggest for a factory-look fit?

So basically the consensus is that the factory Land Rover accessories are wayyy too pricey for the quality you actually get. Everyone agrees that ceramic coating that Windsor leather is a MUST to stop dye transfer from jeans, and skipping the OEM cargo liner is definitely the move if you have a pup.

Honestly, if youre looking for the best value, I’d just DIY the leather protection. It’s actually really simple and saves a ton of money... I used Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard 100ml and it works so well against spills and stains. For the screens, while the Spigen glass mentioned earlier is great, I lowkey prefer just keeping a The Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 500 Microfiber Towel in the center console. It keeps that sleek factory look without the extra glare from a protector. For the dog, WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Range Rover Velar is my go-to—it's basically indestructible and fits perfectly for way less than the LR branded one. i think youll be really happy with the aftermarket route... peace!

yo, congrats on the new Velar!! i totally get the anxiety... that interior is STUNNING but keeping it that way is highkey a full-time job. i've spent way too much time researching this stuff, so here is what i've learned from my own trial and error.

For those screens, you definitely want tempered glass. Plastic films feel cheap and usually bubble up. I recommend the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Range Rover Velar Touch Pro Duo. Its designed specifically for the dual-screen setup and actually helps with the glare too. Basically, it makes fingerprints way easier to wipe off with a microfiber cloth without worrying about micro-scratches on the actual factory glass.

Now, for that light Windsor leather—do NOT skip the coating. Dye transfer from jeans is real and it happens fast. I’ve used Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield on my last few cars and its a lifesaver. It’s a ceramic coating specifically for leather. Unlike old-school conditioners that just make things greasy, this actually bonds to the surface to create a hydrophobic layer. It stops liquids and dyes from penetrating the grain. Seriously, its worth the effort to apply it yourself.

Regarding the dog situation, the official Land Rover stuff is okay, but it doesn't offer enough coverage for hair and mud. I’d suggest Canvasback Cargo Liner for Range Rover Velar. They’re custom-made and cover the floor, the sides, and even the back of the seats. Plus, you can still fold the seats down without taking it out. If you prefer a rubber tray, the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Range Rover Velar is the GOAT for fitment. Anyway, hope that helps protect your new baby! gl!!

sooo in my experience, the official mats were a total letdown for the price - they kinda wore through way too fast!! i switched to an aftermarket brand for the cargo area and it’s basically indestructible for my lab.

* ceramic coat the leather (stops dye transfer)
* get a matte screen protector
* you're gonna wanna skip the dealer accessories

wish i’d known that before blowing $500 at the dealership tbh... gl!
