Ok so, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have to respectfully disagree with some of the simpler mounting options mentioned here. After digging through a lot of technical reviews and community feedback specifically for the GX platform, there are a few major red flags to keep in mind before you just stick something on your dash.

• Vent mounts in the GX are notoriously risky because the plastic slats arent really designed to hold the weight of a heavy iPhone or Android during off-road vibrations. I have seen way too many cracked vent assemblies.
• Adhesives can actually react with the soft-touch materials on the Lexus dash if the car gets too hot in the summer, leading to permanent staining or peeling.
• Blocking the infotainment screen or the analog clock might seem minor, but it really messes with the cabin ergonomics and resale value later on.
• Putting a phone directly in front of a heater vent during winter is a recipe for battery degradation and thermal throttling. Basically, honestly just be super careful with anything that clips onto the trim.
