Which cargo liner fits the latest Lexus NX best?

I recently picked up the new Lexus NX and I’m absolutely loving the interior, but I’m already worried about scuffing up the trunk area. Between hauling groceries, sports gear, and the occasional gardening supplies, the factory carpet just isn't going to cut it. I really want something that offers full coverage but still maintains that premium feel of the car.

I’ve been looking at a few options like the official Lexus all-weather liner, WeatherTech, and even some of those high-end quilted leather versions I’ve seen online. My main concern is the fitment—I want something that fits perfectly around the wheel wells and doesn't slide around when I'm driving. Also, it’s important that it doesn't block the tie-down hooks or interfere with the power-folding rear seats if I need to drop them down quickly.

Does anyone have experience with which brand actually offers the most 'glove-like' fit for the latest NX model? I'm willing to spend a bit more for quality, but I’d love to hear if the OEM one is actually the best or if an aftermarket brand provides better lip protection for spills. Which cargo liner would you recommend for the best balance of protection and aesthetics?

Quick question before I weigh in with my technical thoughts on the fitment... Are you more focused on the deep-dish spill protection for like, gardening mishaps, or is the flat aesthetic more your vibe? Also, do you actually use those tie-down hooks often?? I've seen some liners that claim to be 'laser-cut' but they still end up covering the hooks unless you hack them up yourself. Lmk so I can narrow it down!

Sooo, I totally feel u on wanting to keep that new interior pristine. When I got my NX, I was super picky too. Honestly, I had a bit of a *rough* start. I first tried one of those fancy TuxMat Cargo Liner for Lexus NX sets because they look highkey premium, but unfortunately, I found the material a bit too slippery for my groceries... stuff was sliding everywhere! Plus, it was kinda a pain to fit around the tie-down hooks.

In my experience, here is what I recommend after trial and error:

1. Lexus Genuine All-Weather Cargo Tray PT908-76220 - This is what I eventually settled on. It basically fits like a glove and stays put. It's not as flashy as the quilted ones, but for safety and reliability, it’s the best choice imo. It doesnt block the folding seats at all, which is huge.
2. WeatherTech CargoLiner 401476 - My buddy has this in his NX. It has a *really* high lip for spills, which is great if youre doing gardening, but it feels a bit more like 'utility' and less 'luxury', you know?

I guess I’m just cautious about aftermarket stuff messing with the sensors or hooks, so I'd stick with the OEM Lexus one. It’s safer and just works, even if it's a bit boring. gl! 👍

I'm still kinda new to the Lexus world, but I spent way too much time researching this stuff after I got my NX. Basically, if you're like me and want a perfect fit without spending a fortune, I actually found some cool budget-friendly options that highkey compete with the big brands.

I ended up going with the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Cargo Liner and honestly, no complaints so far! It has this weird, almost velcro-like backing that they call MAXpider fiber, and it *literally* does not budge. Compared to some of the harder plastic liners, this one has a more premium, textured look that matches the NX interior way better than the shiny rubber stuff.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the big names, maybe check out the SMARTLINER Custom Fit Cargo Liner Tray for Lexus NX. It's usually like $20-30 cheaper than the WeatherTech, and it has a really nice tall lip to catch spills if a grocery bag leaks.

One thing I noticed is that both of these have pre-marked spots for the tie-down hooks. I had to do a tiny bit of cutting with a utility knife, but it was super easy. If you don't use the hooks, just leave it as is for maximum protection! For the power-folding seats, they both clear them just fine cuz the material is thin enough. Anyway, hope that helps you save a bit of cash while keeping your trunk pristine! 👍

Honestly, I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with cargo liners because I'm super obsessive about safety and technical fitment. When I first got my NX, I was really disappointed with some of the cheaper options because they lacked the high-friction backing needed to keep them from sliding under heavy braking—which is actually a huge safety hazard if you've got gear back there.

I initially tried one of those quilted leather things you mentioned, but it was a total nightmare... the material was way too slick and my groceries were literally flying around every time I took a turn. Plus, it partially blocked the sensor for the power-folding seats. I eventually switched to the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Cargo Liner and it's been a game changer. The fitment around the wheel wells is actually insane—it's laser-measured so it literally snaps into place with zero wiggle room.

If you're worried about spills though, you might wanna check out the Husky Liners Weatherbeater Cargo Liner. It's got a much higher lip than the OEM version, which is crucial if you're hauling gardening stuff or liquids. It doesn't look as "premium" as the 3D MAXpider, but from a technical perspective, the containment capacity is way better. Just make sure whatever you pick has the precut sections for the tie-down hooks... some brands claim they're "compatible" but then you have to hack them up with a utility knife, which looks terrible. I'd definitely prioritize the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Cargo Liner for that glove-like fit you're after though. gl! 👍
