I ended up going through a couple different versions before finding one that actually fit my 300h. Honestly, i just wanted something cheap that worked because i was tired of getting mud on the factory carpet. My first attempt was a generic one and it was a total disaster... the edges wouldnt lay flat because of how the trunk floor is shaped on the hybrid. Heres what i learned from my current setup:

  • The hybrid battery definitely changes the floor height compared to the standard ES.
  • Heavy duty rubber is nice for spills but everything slides around like crazy.
  • Look for something with a high lip so liquids dont just run off the side onto the carpet anyway. Main issue i ran into was the latch area. If the liner is even a tiny bit too long, the trunk wont close right or it triggers the sensor. Its decent enough for the price i paid, but i really had to trim the edges down myself to get it perfect. Just make sure you double check the compatibility specifically for the hybrid model tho.

I spent way too much time researching the specific trunk dimensions for the hybrid battery hump before pulling the trigger on the WeatherTech Custom Fit Cargo Liner for Lexus ES 300h. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with how it sat in the corners. For something that claims to be laser-measured, the gap along the rear sill was noticeable and it just felt like the material was thinner than their older mats. I ended up swapping it for the Lexus Genuine All-Weather Cargo Tray PT924-33190-02 and while its not as deep as a bucket liner, the fit is night and day. Here is what I noticed:

  • The OEM rubber compound has way more grip so my grocery bags dont slide around like theyre on ice.
  • It actually accounts for the specific floor height of the hybrid model without that weird lifting at the edges.
  • The Lexus logo is molded in, which honestly just looks better than a plastic sticker. I really wanted the aftermarket stuff to be better for the price, but it just wasnt the case this time around. If you want that flush look, stick with the factory tray.
