I’ve recently been looking to upgrade my Mercedes E350 and thought adding some logo puddle light projectors would be a nice touch. I’ve seen a few cheap options on Amazon, but I’m worried about them flickering or not fitting the door housing perfectly. I really want something that’s plug-and-play without needing to mess with the wiring, and ideally, the logo should be crisp and bright enough to see on the pavement at night. Has anyone here found a specific brand or seller that offers high-quality projectors that don't fade over time? I'm curious to know which ones you guys think look the most OEM. Any specific recommendations for a reliable set?

sooo i'm still kinda new to doing my own car stuff, but i gotta warn you about the safety side of those cheap lights! basically, the stock wiring in our Mercedes doors is meant for very specific voltage and heat levels. i read that some low-quality projectors can actually SHORT OUT your entire door control module if they draw too much power or get too hot... and honestly, that's like a super expensive repair just for a logo!!

i would suggest playing it safe and looking for ones that are explicitly rated for the E350 and have built-in heat sinks. i think?? the official ones are the only ones guaranteed not to fry anything. for your situation, maybe check with a professional shop first? it’s probably better to spend a bit more now than risk your electronics failing. plus, i mean, you definitely dont want flickering lights making your car look glitchy! good luck with the upgrade tho, itll look amazing!!

Unfortunately, i've had bad luck with cheap projectors that just fade or flicker after a month. So basically, just avoid those generic $20 sets. I'd suggest going with the official Mercedes-Benz ones from ur dealer. They're more expensive, but the logo stays SO crisp and they're 100% plug-and-play. honestly worth it to avoid the headache... peace

Quick question - before I dive into the market research I've done on these, which version of the E350 do you actually have?

I mean, are we talking about the W212 or the newer W213 body style?? It basically makes a huge difference because the door housing shapes changed, and honestly, the fitment on some of the high-quality third-party options like Dinfu LED Logo Lights for Mercedes-Benz is super specific to the model year. I've spent way too much time comparing these and actually found some really crisp ones that don't fade, but I wanna make sure I'm giving you the right specs for your specific door panels so you don't end up with that annoying flickering people were talking about! lmk!

I went through this last year. Basically, I tried some generic LEDs and they ran SO hot the housing warped. Are you looking for the classic star logo or the AMG crest, and what's your budget for this? lol
