Yeah, I definately agree that quality is key for an AMG. If youre already looking at high-end gear like the BlackVue mentioned earlier, there are two other options that get brought up a lot in the community that you should realy check out before pulling the trigger.
Building on the earlier suggestion, I've noticed a lot of people overlook the actual power draw and thermal management when they're picking these out for higher-end builds. Over the years, I have learned to be extremely cautious with how these systems tap into the car's electrical bus, especially with the sensitive electronics in an AMG. In my experience, even a minor parasitic drain can lead to some really frustrating battery warnings on the dash during the winter months. Are you planning on hardwiring this for 24/7 parking mode, or are you strictly looking for something that runs while you're driving? Also, does your GLE have the acoustic glass package? I ask because I once spent an entire weekend trying to get a signal through shielded glass on an old S-Class and it was a total nightmare... ended up just staring at the headliner in frustration for hours while my coffee got cold. Anyway, just some things to think about before you commit to a specific unit.
