What are the absolute must-have interior accessories for the new Outlander PHEV because I am honestly terrified of ruining this white leather already?

Ive been driving Mitsubishi hybrids for years now—had the 2018 model forever so Im used to the regenerative braking quirks and the charging cycles—but this new SEL Premium trim feels so much more delicate than my old one. I just picked it up yesterday here in Seattle and of course its pouring rain and my golden retriever already tried to jump into the backseat with muddy paws. I need some serious protection before my kids or the dog destroy the resale value.

Does anyone have recommendations for all-weather mats that actually fit the 2024 dimensions perfectly? I was looking at the TuxMat ones but I dont know if they interfere with the floor vents under the seats. Also I really need a screen protector for that huge infotainment display because it looks like a total fingerprint magnet and I'm worried about scratches. My budget is around 500 bucks for now and I have a huge road trip to the coast planned for next Friday so I gotta get this stuff ordered like yesterday. Should I just stick with the OEM stuff from the dealer or is the aftermarket quality better these days for the plug-in models? I feel like I'm overthinking this but the car is just so nice and I dont want to mess up the tech or the upholstery...

Congrats on the new ride, but man, white leather with a golden retriever in Seattle sounds like a recipe for disaster. I honestly had issues with the OEM rubber mats from the dealer. They dont cover enough of the side walls and mud just spills over onto that nice carpet anyway. Super disappointing for how much they charge at the parts counter. Heres what I would grab before your trip:

> I am honestly terrified of ruining this white leather already? I remember my first rainy week with my PHEV, I almost cried when coffee spilled! Quick question tho, are you using the third row for the trip or keeping it flat? Honestly, the TuxMat All-Weather 2024 Outlander Floor Mats are incredible and definitely dont block the vents. They stay locked in place so they never slide under the pedals! Also, the LFOTPP 2024 Outlander Navigation Tempered Glass is fantastic for keeping that display mint!

Late to the party but I spent way too much time researching this for my own SEL. The white leather is beautiful but basically a magnet for denim stains and mud. If you're worried about the floor vents under the seats, I'd suggest checking out WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit Black. They use laser measurements for the 2024 chassis so they won't block the airflow or the seat tracks like some of the thicker aftermarket brands tend to do. A few other practical additions for your trip:

I was digging into the wiring diagrams and weight sensor specs for the new SEL seats earlier and honestly... it is pretty disappointing how easily the safety tech can get thrown off by aftermarket upholstery. Most of the thick covers you see online are not as good as expected because they interfere with the OCS sensors. Before I give you a full list tho, quick question: are you planning on keeping the middle seat pass-through open for your dog to poke his head through or are you just covering the whole bench?

  • Unfortunately some of those high-walled mats had issues with trapping moisture against the seat rails which leads to corrosion.
  • If you want actual reliability just get anything from 3D MAXpider Custom Floor Mats for the floors since their backing is less abrasive.
  • For the leather protection just go with Covercraft Custom Seat Covers and youll be fine. The 2024 is a different beast than the 2018 and the tolerances are much tighter so you really dont want to mess with the floor vent airflow.
