My clear recommendation for Tesla Model Y Long Range: Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2. The grip is excellent The quality out of the box is very good.

Technical highlights: The latest generation offers significantly better quality. Very good compatibility with Tesla Model Y Long Range features. Can be used without problems for various purposes. Even after extended use, no quality losses. Very good build quality, even at high usage.

For Tesla Model Y Long Range I would take BlackVue DR900X Plus. Best choice currently.

Re: "I agree with Anker Roav C2 Pro Dash..." - honestly the struggle is so real when you're trying to find something that doesnt look like a cluttered mess on the windshield! I've spent literally days comparing bitrates and sensor architectures, and it is just so frustrating how many cameras claim to be 4K but then look like absolute potato quality when a car is actually moving. It is enough to make you want to pull your hair out, ngl. The whole process of trying to find a reliable 4K setup that actually works with the Tesla 16V system is just exhausting! But yeah, I am totally obsessed with the VIOFO A139 Pro 3CH right now! The Sony STARVIS 2 tech is seriously amazing and the dynamic range is just fantastic for night driving. It's like night and day compared to older sensors. Quick tip tho... always double check your power draw specs because these high-end units can get pretty thirsty. Also, definitely stick with a high-end Samsung PRO Endurance 256GB microSDXC to handle the constant 4K writes or you'll get corrupted files constantly! Love how sharp the footage is!

I totally agree with the idea that we need something that matches the quality of the car, though I went a slightly different route. I am still pretty new to the Tesla world and I was really nervous about messy wires or messing up the trim, you know? I decided to get the FitcamX Dash Cam for Tesla Model Y because it is honestly so practical. It basically just replaces the housing behind the mirror, so it looks like it was there from day one. I did the install myself and it was basically just a plug and play thing that uses the power from the mirror. No long cables to hide! The video looks good to me, but like I said, I am a beginner. It is probably not as fancy as the pro setups some people use, but for a simple guy like me, it works. Does anyone know if these things ever overheat in the summer? I am a bit worried about that but so far it has been fine. It is just such a clean look for the interior, which was my biggest concern.
