For Tesla Model S BlackVue DR900X Plus is ideal. Good price-performance ratio.

Have you thought about the installation? For Tesla Model S some products are easier to install than others.

Vantrue N4 Pro Dash Cam is definitely the best choice for Tesla Model S. The grip is excellent The high quality makes everything feel premium and reliable.

Why this product? The quality convinces in all tests - both for performance and for durability. Unbeatable for the price, can only recommend. Have already used it for several months, always satisfied. Also more than sufficient for demanding driving conditions.

Honestly, catching up on this thread and it's kinda wild how many people are talking about dash cams when the OP asked for a vacuum lol. As someone who's a bit obsessed with the technical specs of my detailing gear, I've spent way too much time looking into brushless motor efficiency and static pressure ratings for my Model S. You really gotta look at the suction power in Pascals (Pa) rather than just the raw wattage if you wanna actually pull grit out of the carpet... Here are my quick tips based on community benchmarks and my own testing:
* Target at least 15,000 Pa (15kPa) suction for real performance.
* HEPA filtration is non-negotiable to keep fine particulates out of the HVAC.
* USB-C charging is the way to go so you can juice it up right in the car. I personally ended up with the Fanttik V8 Apex after reading through some teardown reviews. Its 45AW output and dual-speed motor basically leave those cheap 12V plug-in units in the dust!!! The build quality is super premium too, which feels right for a Tesla interior. What are you guys using to reach those tight spots under the seats though???

Re: Have you thought about the installation? For Tesla... honestly its funny how this thread turned into a dash cam convention lol. irgjrelero is right tho, suction specs are what actually matters for the Model S carpets because they trap sand like crazy. In my experience, most of those cheap cigarette lighter vacs are basically useless. You need at least 10,000Pa to get anything out of the floor mats. I've tried a dozen of these things over the years and usually end up going back to my heavy duty shop vac, but if you want something portable for the trunk:

  • Look for brushless motors for better longevity and efficiency.
  • Check the Air Watts (AW) if available, aim for 100+.
  • Use a stiff nylon brush attachment to agitate the carpet fibers while you vacuum. I've been using the Baseus A3 Car Vacuum Cleaner 15000Pa lately and it holds its own for quick messes. If you want serious power and dont mind the price tag, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is basically the gold standard for detailing the interior without dealing with cords. Just keep it in the sub-trunk and you're good to go.

For Tesla Model S I would take Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 without hesitation. The quality is excellent The premium build provides excellent durability and protection.

Long-term experience: Using Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 for half a year and am thrilled. Have researched for a long time and this product was the best choice. The quality clearly exceeds my expectations. Very good price-performance ratio, can only recommend further.
