Finally took delivery of my Foundation Series Cybertruck last Tuesday after waiting since 2019 and man, its a totally different vibe than my old Model Y. I thought I knew what to expect with the minimalist Tesla interior but this thing is on another level of empty. Its basically just a giant dashboard and a screen lol. I took it out to a job site near Round Rock yesterday and realized pretty quickly that I need to get some protection and organization sorted before I ruin the interior.
The first thing I noticed is that huge flat dash. Anything I put up there just slides around the second I take a corner. Does anyone have a lead on a high quality dash mat or even just some kind of tray that actually stays put? I dont want some cheap silicone thing that looks like trash but I need something for my glasses and notebook. Also the center console is just one giant hole. I dropped my keys in there and had to fish around for like a minute to find them under my gloves.
Im looking to spend maybe 800 to 1000 bucks to get the whole thing kitted out before we take a trip down to Big Bend next month. I definitely need:
Ive looked at some of the usual suspects like Spigen or Hansshow but everything for the Cybertruck seems so new and I dont want to be the guinea pig for stuff that doesnt fit right. I noticed the floor shape is super specific especially with the way the seats are mounted so I am worried about generic fits. What are you guys actually using that feels like it belongs in a 100k truck? I am trying to avoid that cluttered look while still making it actually functional for daily use because right now it just feels like an empty cave.
Honestly i was super nervous about the screen glare during my first desert drive. I picked the Abstract Ocean Tempered Glass Screen Protector Matte because it felt more reliable than the cheap film ones and cuts light well.
Congrats on the delivery! That empty cave feeling is so real when you first get it lol. I was in the same boat and definitely didnt want my truck looking like a cheap plastic mess. For the Texas dirt, I am super happy with the 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Mats for Cybertruck. They have this nice texture that actually looks high-end and fits like a glove, way better than generic rubber ones. To fix that glare, you gotta get the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Matte Screen Protector for Cybertruck. It basically killed all the reflections during my midday drives and feels really smooth. For the console, I grabbed the Spigen Center Console Organizer Tray for Cybertruck and it works well for keys and stuff without any annoying rattles. Those brands usually nail the fitment so you wont be a guinea pig.
Regarding what #1 said about "Congrats on the delivery! That empty cave feeling...", it really is annoying once the novelty wears off. Unfortunately, many of the first-gen organizers rattle way too much. I had issues with generic silicone mats melting in the sun, but the BestEvMod Dashboard Storage Tray for Cybertruck is solid. Also, check out TuxMat All-Weather Custom Floor Mats for Cybertruck if you want more coverage than the MAXpiders for that red dirt.
To add to the point above:
