Are there any good screen protectors for the bZ4X infotainment?

I recently picked up my new bZ4X and I’m absolutely loving the drive, but that massive 12.3-inch infotainment screen is a total fingerprint magnet! It feels like I’m constantly wiping it down, and I’m honestly a bit worried about micro-scratches showing up over time from all the cleaning. Plus, the glare can be pretty intense when the sun hits it at certain angles, making it hard to see the maps clearly.

I’ve been looking around on Amazon and some EV accessory sites, but I’m hesitant to pull the trigger. I really want something that has a matte or anti-glare finish to help with the reflections, but I’m worried about losing that crisp display quality or having the touch sensitivity get wonky. Has anyone found a tempered glass or high-quality film protector that fits the bZ4X screen perfectly without leaving huge gaps around the edges?

I’m hoping to find something durable that’s easy to install—bubble-free is a must! Does anyone have a specific brand or link they’d recommend for keeping the screen protected while cutting down on the smudges?

Similar situation here - I went through this exact struggle when I first got my bZ4X. Honestly, that screen is such a massive safety concern for me when the glare hits it just right... I literally couldnt see my navigation at all during my afternoon commute! In my experience, even if youre a beginner with car mods, getting a protector is a must just for the peace of mind.

Over the years, Ive tried a bunch of different films on my other cars, but for the bZ4X, I wanted something that felt more premium. I actually ended up trying the LFOTPP 2023 2024 Toyota bZ4X 12.3-inch Infotainment Touchscreen Nano Protective Film and it has been a total lifesaver. It’s not the thick tempered glass type that can sometimes mess with touch sensitivity, but a high-grade nano film that actually fits perfectly without those annoying gaps.

Another one I looked into because I’m a bit obsessive about safety and visibility was the RUIYA bZ4X 12.3-inch Center Console Touch Screen Protector Matte Anti-Glare. Basically, I found that the matte finish helps so much with the fingerprints, though it does slightly—and I mean slightly—soften the screen's crispness. But yeah, it beats having to wipe the screen every five minutes while driving! Just take your time with the install and do it in a garage to avoid dust. Idk if that helps, but it definitely saved my sanity... good luck!!

Honestly, I feel u on the fingerprints... that screen is a nightmare to keep clean. For your situation, I would suggest looking at a matte tempered glass option. I actually tried the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector Glas.tR Slim Anti-Glare for Toyota bZ4X 12.3-inch and it was... okay, but i had issues with the fitment being a bit too tight on the corners.

Anyway, here is what I recommend basically:
* Go for the RUIYA Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector for 2023 2024 Toyota bZ4X 12.3 Inch Infotainment because it actually cuts the glare without making the maps look blurry.
* Make sure you use a suction cup for the install so you dont get bubbles.

Unfortunately, most matte films *do* slightly reduce the crispness, but it's worth it to stop the sun from blinding you lol. Just be careful with the touch sensitivity; it gets a bit wonky if the glass is too thick. gl!

In my experience, you definitely don't need to drop big money on the high-end brands to get a solid result. I've been through a few of these over the years with different EVs, and honestly, the fingerprint struggle is TOO real. For your bZ4X, I would suggest checking out the RUIYA for 2023 2024 Toyota bZ4X 12.3 Inch Infotainment Touchscreen Protector Matte Anti-Glare.

I actually picked this one up because it was way cheaper than the Spigen mentioned earlier, and it's been surprisingly great. It’s got that matte finish you’re looking for which LITERALLY kills the glare—I can actually see my maps now even in high noon sun! Touch sensitivity is still spot on too. Installation was pretty easy, just gotta be super OCD with the dust stickers first (trust me on that). If you want a budget-friendly film option instead of glass, the Vaxson 3-Pack Screen Protector Compatible with Toyota bZ4X 12.3 inch Infotainment Anti Blue Light is also decent for the price, though it's a bit trickier to get bubble-free. Stick with the RUIYA glass though, totally worth it. gl! 👍

@Reply #4 - good point! Safety is the biggest thing and that glare is genuinely dangerous when you're tryin to see your maps. Honestly this reminds me of when my cousin tried to do a side-by-side comparison with a few different brands for his new car last summer... unfortunately it turned into a total disaster. He had issues with one being way too reflective and the other basically wouldn't even stick properly at the edges. Not as good as he expected, especially for the price he paid for the premium one. It was such a whole ordeal watching him try to scrape off the residue without scratching the actual glass... I really want to make sure you don't go through that because it was honestly painful to watch. Just be careful out there!
