I just picked up my new ID.4 and while I love the minimalist cabin, I’m realizing it needs a few functional upgrades to stay organized. I've already noticed that the center console is a bit of a deep pit and the piano black surfaces are absolute fingerprint magnets. I’m looking for recommendations on high-quality floor mats (TPE or carpet?), a screen protector for that massive infotainment display, and maybe a better storage solution for the under-console area. I want to keep the interior looking clean but practical for daily use. What are the 'must-have' interior accessories you’ve found that actually fit perfectly and are worth the money?
Ok so I went through this last year and honesty, I was sooo obsessed with keeping things mint without overspending. For the piano black, I skipped the expensive wraps and just got the KIMISS Carbon Fiber Style Center Console Trim Cover—it basically covers the smudge-prone areas for way less money. I also grabbed EDBETOS ID.4 Lower Center Console Organizer Tray for that weird open space under the dash. It's highkey better than just throwing stuff down there and hoping it doesn't slide around!
Oh man, I totally feel u on that center console pit! When I first got my ID.4, I was literally losing my keys in there every single day lol. It's a massive design flaw tbh. To fix the "black hole" situation, I installed the Vesul Center Console Organizer Tray for 2021-2023 VW ID.4 and it's a total game changer for holding sunglasses and coins.
For the piano black nightmare, I highkey recommend the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector GLAS.tR Slim for VW ID.4 12-inch Infotainment. It has a matte finish that basically deletes fingerprints and glare! For the floors, I went with Lasfit Floor Mats for Volkswagen ID.4 2021-2024 TPE All-Weather Guard cuz the custom fit is actually insane... they snap right in and handle mud like a pro. These upgrades make the cabin feel sooo much more premium and organized without ruining the minimalist vibe. Good luck with the new ride tho!!
Sooo I went through this last year when I first brought my ID.4 home and honestly, I was sooo worried about ruining that clean look. The piano black is literally the worst for smudges, so I looked into some technical fixes. For the screen, I was nervous about bubbles, but I ended up trying the YEE PIN ID.4 12-inch Navigation Screen Protector and it actually worked out okay. It kinda helps with the glare too which was a nice surprise.
For the floors, I debated between carpet and TPE for a while. I finally went with 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Mats for VW ID.4 because they look a bit more "premium" than the heavy-duty rubber ones. Plus, I grabbed a Carwiner Under Screen Storage Box for that space under the dash. It's kinda small, but it’s perfect for my sunglasses and some coins so they aren't just rattling around in the door pockets. gl with the new ride!!
TL;DR: Got some 3D MAXpider mats and a screen protector to save the interior from my own messiness haha.
