I’m beyond excited to finally have my ID. Buzz, but the interior feels like a bit of a blank canvas right now! Since it has such a unique layout, I’m curious what everyone is using to make the space more functional. I’m specifically looking for high-quality floor mats that can handle the occasional coffee spill and some clever storage solutions for that deep center console area. I've also been eyeing some seat covers to protect the light upholstery from my kids, but I don't want to ruin the aesthetic. For those who have lived with the Buzz for a few months, what are the absolute essentials you’ve added to your cabin? Are there any specific brands that fit the retro-modern vibe perfectly?

Sooo, for the ID. Buzz, safety is lowkey my biggest concern with accessories. I actually recommend Lloyd Mats Northridge Custom Fit Floor Mats for VW ID. Buzz because they have awesome grip and dont slide around, which is a literal lifesaver near the pedals. Also, if you’re worried about the kids and safety, Diono Ultra Mat Car Seat Protector is a MUST under car seats to keep things secure and clean. Honestly, just make sure whatever you buy doesn't block the side airbags! Good luck!!
For your situation, honestly, I feel the struggle with the budget vs. aesthetics thing. I've had some issues with expensive options not really being worth the hype, so I've tried to find the sweet spot for value.
Here's what I recommend after trial and error:
• For the floors, I actually went with the TuxMat Volkswagen ID. Buzz Floor Mats because they cover way more of the vertical carpet than others. They're a bit pricey but cheaper than professional detailing after a coffee disaster! Honestly, the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Liners for VW ID. Buzz are a solid runner-up if you want a lower profile, though they don't catch spills quite as well imo.
• For that massive center gap, skip the pricey custom wood stuff and grab the JKCOVER Center Console Organizer Tray for ID. Buzz. It's basically a cheap plastic insert but it actually makes the space usable for phones and keys without losing everything in the 'abyss' downstairs lol.
Everything I've tried has been kinda hit or miss but these two definitely saved my sanity without totally breaking the bank. Good luck!!
Sooo I’ve been driving my Buzz for a few months now and, honestly, keeping that light interior clean is a literal nightmare. I learned the hard way that the factory mats are basically useless for real life. I swapped mine out for the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit for VW ID. Buzz and they've been a lifesaver for coffee spills, though they do look a bit industrial compared to the retro vibe.
For that massive void of a center console, I found the BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for ID. Buzz is okay, but I actually prefer the Spigen Console Organizer for VW ID. Buzz because the fit feels a bit more solid. If you're worried about the seats, I tried some cheap ones that looked terrible, but the Inka Tailored Waterproof Rear Seat Covers for VW ID. Buzz are surprisingly decent for protecting against kids without looking like a total mess. Just a heads up, the install is a bit of a pain and they can feel a bit sweaty in summer. Good luck, hope you find something that works!!
Honestly, I've had a bit of a love-hate relationship with my interior setup so far. I thought the light upholstery was gorgeous but then my kids basically ruined it within a week, ngl. I tried the Vancover ID. Buzz Tailored Seat Covers and they were okay, but honestly not as good as expected for the price because they kind of bunched up. I ended up switching to the Brandrup Second Skin Seat Covers ID. Buzz and they fit way better, literally looks factory! For the floor, I tried some cheap generic ones but they were a nightmare to clean. I highkey recommend the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for Volkswagen ID. Buzz instead—they’ve saved me from so many spilled lattes already. Also, that deep console is basically a black hole, so I grabbed the BestEvMod ID. Buzz Center Console Organizer Tray and it actually makes that space usable for your phone and keys. But yeah, protect those seats ASAP or you're gonna regret it lol.
I totally agree with what was said about keeping that light interior safe - that white/beige looks amazing but it is honestly so stressful to keep clean!!! Tbh, I was super worried about the light seats too but I didn't want to hide them under bulky covers right away. Since I'm more of a DIY fan, I actually tried applying Gyeon Q2 FabricCoat myself. It was way easier than I expected and basically makes liquid bead up so coffee spills just wipe off - literally a lifesaver for the "blank canvas" vibe without changing the look. Also, for the infotainment screen (which gets fingerprints like crazy!!), I grabbed the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for ID. Buzz. It was super simple to install even for a beginner like me. I've also been looking into getting some generic felt sheets to DIY line the door bins too, since the plastic is a bit noisy when you drop keys in there. Has anyone else tried doing their own lining? It feels way more personal than just buying a pre-made kit, and ngl, it's way cheaper than a professional service!
