Which floor mats offer the best fit for Volkswagen Tiguan?

Hey everyone! I just picked up a 2023 VW Tiguan and I’m looking to protect the carpets before the rainy season hits. I've heard mixed reviews comparing the OEM 'Monster Mats' to aftermarket brands like WeatherTech or TuxMat. I’m really looking for a precise, edge-to-edge fit that clicks into the factory floor anchors perfectly without any sliding. Since I often have kids in the back, coverage for the middle hump would be a huge plus too. Does anyone have a specific recommendation for mats that don't leave gaps around the edges? Which brand have you found offers the most seamless fit for the Tiguan's cabin?

Hey! Congrats on the new Tiguan! Honestly, if ur looking for that "seamless" look, it's a toss-up between TuxMat and WeatherTech. I've used both in my VWs over the years and here's my take.

TuxMat Floor Mats for Volkswagen Tiguan are basically the goats for coverage. They literally go all the way up the sides and cover that middle hump perfectly, which is highkey a lifesaver when kids are climbing around. They look more like a floor replacement than a mat.

On the other hand, WeatherTech FloorLiner for Volkswagen Tiguan is super rugged. They're a harder plastic, so they’re easy to spray off, but they don't always cover the hump as well as TuxMat. I'd skip the Volkswagen Tiguan Monster Mats for heavy rain; they just dont have the high walls you need.

TuxMat is my pick for that edge-to-edge vibe. Good luck!

So basically the consensus is:
- Coverage: TuxMat's your best bet.
- Budget: Try SMARTLINER Floor Mats for 2018-2023 VW Tiguan for $130 (cheaper than OEM mentioned). Seriouslyyy good value! Be careful checking clips.

In my experience, floor mats are basically insurance for your carpets. Precise fit matters because salt and mud literally destroy the fibers over time. So yeah:

- Go with TuxMat, they're around $200 and honestly cover that middle hump better than anything else.
- Just get any set from WeatherTech if you want something super rugged, tho they're kinda stiff... probably too industrial for some people.
