finally getting my cloud blue ex30 next tuesday here in seattle and im so hyped but also kinda overwhelmed by the add-ons. ive been looking at those matte screen protectors because of the glare but then i read they make the text look fuzzy and i dont want that. my logic was that i definitely need all-weather mats since it rains non-stop here but the volvo ones are pricey. i also saw some 3d printed dividers for that big empty center console hole.

i have about 300 bucks left in my budget for now so i want the absolute essentials first... what did you guys actually find useful?

  • screen protector (matte vs clear?)
  • floor mats
  • console organizers

Jumping in here because I love the Cloud Blue choice! To stay under budget, definitely skip those overpriced Volvo mats. I went with Lasfit All-Weather TPE Floor Mats for Volvo EX30 and they are amazing for keeping out the Seattle rain!

  • Yidatons Center Console Organizer Tray for that deep hole
  • High-quality microfiber cloth (skip the screen protector tbh) Seriously, the mats are the absolute priority. Spend the extra cash on a good car wash instead!

In my experience, matte screen protectors are a trap. Ive tried many over the years and they always make the display look grainy. Stick to clear glass like the Spigen Glas.tR Slim Screen Protector for Volvo EX30 if you want to keep the UI sharp. Living in Seattle means mats are your first priority. I usually find the Volvo ones a bit pricey for what they are. Id go with TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Volvo EX30 because they cover way more of the carpet. Heres my take for that 300 dollar budget:

  • High-wall floor mats are the #1 priority.
  • A clear screen protector to avoid that fuzzy text.
  • A Vancore Center Console Tray for Volvo EX30 to keep the abyss organized. That console hole is basically a black hole... youre gonna want that tray immediately.

TL;DR: Watch out for rattles and maybe look at mud flaps. Be careful with 3D printed dividers... I think I heard they can rattle. I'm actually curious, does your commute have a lot of standing water? Not sure if it's an essential but someone told me mud flaps are a must for the Seattle grime. I would suggest checking those out instead of the console tray since the factory ones can be pricey.
