What are the best sunshades for Audi e-tron GT windshields?

Hey everyone! With the summer heat picking up, I’m getting worried about the leather dash and interior trim on my e-tron GT. I’ve tried a couple of generic 'universal' sunshades, but they never fit quite right because of the GT's aggressive windshield rake and the large sensor housing behind the rearview mirror. I’m looking for something high-quality that offers a tight, custom fit and is easy to stow away when not in use. Has anyone tried the official Audi accessory, or is there a better aftermarket option like Covercraft or WeatherTech that handles the unique dimensions of this car better? What are you all using to keep your cabin cool and protected?

Honestly, I spent way too much on the official Audi one and it was a total letdown... it just felt flimsy for the price. If you want a solid custom fit without breaking the bank, I'd suggest the WeatherTech Custom Fit SunShade. It’s way easier to roll up than those bulky folding ones, and it actually stays put even with that massive sensor housing. Plus, it's usually around $60, so you're getting much better value imo. 👍

In my experience, you definitely want to skip those generic ones because the rake on the GT is no joke. Over the years, I've tried many, but the Covercraft UVS100 Custom Sunscreen is literally the gold standard for this car. It's a hard folding shield that fits the mirror housing perfectly. If u want something easier to roll up, WeatherTech Custom Fit SunShade is solid too, but Covercraft handles the heat better imo. gl!

Honestly, leaving your dash exposed is basically asking for trouble, but I'm sooo worried about these shades scratching the delicate interior trim or messing with the ADAS sensor housing. You gotta be careful because if a shade is too tight, it could actually put pressure on the rearview mirror mount, which is highkey a safety risk imo.

I mean, I had issues with generic ones before and it was a total letdown. For a safety-first approach, maybe check out the HeatShield The Original Windshield Sunshade Custom Fit for Audi e-tron GT. It's a bit more flexible than the hard folding ones, so it shouldn't cramp the sensor area as much.

TL;DR: Use a soft-edge custom shade to protect your sensors and dash safely. Peace.
