Hey everyone! I just picked up a 2024 Audi Q5 and I am absolutely loving it so far. The interior is beautiful, but I really want to keep it looking brand new and add some practical touches. I am especially worried about the piano black trim getting scratched and the floor mats getting ruined by the rain.

I have been looking at a few things but I am not sure what is actually worth the money:

  • All-weather rubber floor mats
  • A center console organizer tray
  • A screen protector for the MMI display

What are the absolute must-have interior accessories you would recommend for a new Q5 owner to keep things clean and functional?

Focus on WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit Audi Q5 2024 for the best TPE material specs and edge-to-edge containment. For the display, the Spigen Glas.tR Slim Audi MMI 10.1 Inch is essential. It provides 9H hardness to stop micro-scratches while maintaining capacitive touch response. Honestly, these two are technically the most effective for surface integrity... i wouldnt use anything else.

Congrats on the Q5! I actually have to disagree a bit with the first reply regarding the floor mats. While WeatherTech is tough, they tend to look a bit too much like a work truck accessory for a luxury SUV like the Q5. I personally think the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mat Audi Q5 is a much better fit. They have this specific multi-layer design that traps water but has a much more premium carbon-fiber texture that blends in with the Audi interior. Plus, the Maxpider backing doesnt use those spikes that can sometimes mess with the underlying carpet over time. For the piano black trim, that is definitely your biggest headache. Instead of just a screen protector, you should look into a pre-cut interior PPF kit like the Xpel Interior Protection Film Audi Q5 Piano Black. It is a bit of a project to install since you use a tiny bit of soapy water, but its self-healing. If you get a light scratch from your keys or a phone, you can basically just hit it with some warm air and the scratch disappears. Its way better than just living with the micro-scratches. Lastly, dont sleep on the organizer. The Q5 center console is basically a deep bucket where everything gets lost. I picked up the Vesul Center Console Organizer Audi Q5 B9 and it makes a world of difference. It gives you a dedicated spot for coins and your phone while keeping the deeper storage underneath for stuff you dont use every day. Honestly, it feels like it should have come from the factory that way.

I noticed a lot of people go for the cheap universal mats at big box stores to save cash, but they usually dont have the right safety clips for the Q5 floor. Its a huge risk if they slide under your brake pedal. Also, skip the bargain-bin cleaners for that trim. Most budget chemicals are way too harsh and will haze the piano black almost immediately... just keep it simple.
