My current lease is up in three weeks and im honestly freaking out a bit because I cant find the exact spec I want for an X5 M Competition anywhere near Chicago. I found one at a dealer about 50 miles away in Marina Blue but they're asking way over MSRP and then there is this slightly used 2023 model at a local lot that looks clean but lacks the executive package. I'm also looking at a Cayenne Turbo but the tech feels a bit dated compared to the BMW curved display. My budget is strictly 135k and I need this for a family trip to the lake house by the 15th so I dont have time to order one from the factory... should I just pay the markup for the new one or settle for the used one without the features I wanted?

Honestly, paying over MSRP for that 2024 BMW X5 M Competition Marina Blue is just setting money on fire. I went through this exact stress last year and unfortunately, I had some issues with the newer electronics on the LCI models. They just arent as reliable as I expected for the price tag. I once rushed a purchase for a big family trip and ended up with a spec that lacked the driver assistance features I needed. It made the whole drive feel dangerous and stressful instead of relaxing. Settle for the used one? Ngl, youll hate missing that executive package. I had a buddy who skipped it on his 2023 BMW X5 M Competition S63 V8 and the resale was terrible because every second-hand buyer wants those options. Check dealers in Milwaukee or even down in Indy. I found a 2024 BMW X5 M Competition with Executive Package at MSRP just by looking two hours away. Dont let the deadline force you into a bad deal.
