I just took delivery of my new BMW iX and I'm absolutely loving the futuristic vibe! However, with such a minimalist cabin and that massive curved display, I’m realizing I might need a few extras to really dial in the experience. I’ve been looking into integrated dash cams like the FitcamX to keep the OEM look, and I’m also curious if anyone has found a screen protector that actually reduces fingerprints on the iDrive screen without ruining the clarity. Space in the center console is a bit unique too, so I’m definitely hunting for clever organizers. For those who have been living with the iX for a while, what are your top tech recommendations or must-have accessories that actually improve the daily drive?

sooo i've been looking into this too since i didn't wanna spend a fortune. honestly... i think most of the high-end stuff is kinda overkill? for the console, maybe just grab a cheap silicone liner like the KUNGKIC Center Console Storage Box for BMW iX to stop stuff from sliding around. also, make sure to keep a CleanBeats Microfiber Cleaning Cloth in the door pocket for the screen. it's basically free compared to protectors and *actually* works if you're careful about dust. gl!

Honestly, the FitcamX Dash Cam for BMW iX is highkey a game changer since it looks TOTALLY factory, right? Definitely grab a Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for BMW iX too... it lowkey saves your screen from fingerprints while keeping it super crisp. gl!

sooo i went through this last year... i honestly spent a fortune on those glossy organizers from Amazon but they basically scratched the trim immediately... total bummer. switched to some generic felt-lined ones from TUXMAT and it's way better for long-term wear. gl!

I have been reading up on this too but before I buy anything I was wondering... did you get the interior with the crystal stuff or the standard trim? I am realy cautious about things scratching the surfaces so I have been looking at some cheaper alternatives that might be safer. I have been looking into:
- Loncaster Silicone Phone Mat which is way cheaper than those pro mounts
- Baseus 100W USB C Right Angle Cable so it doesnt stick out weirdly
- Ainope Smallest USB C Car Charger if you need more ports I am not 100% sure if the cheaper stuff is actually good tho? Tbh I am a bit of a beginner with these high tech EVs and I am SCARED of breaking something or causing a short. Is it better to just pay for the name brand stuff or are these basic brands fine for a BMW?

Quick reply while I have a sec... tbh my journey with the iX has been a total learning curve. i came from a Tesla before this and the storage setup was such a culture shock for me. i spent like a month trying to find the right fit for that space under the armrest because stuff just kept sliding out whenever i took a corner lol. i tried one of those hard plastic trays first but the rattling was so annoying i had to toss it... the one i got now is a soft silicone version that actually stays silent. the screen was another thing too. coming from the matte glass i had before, the iX gloss is beautiful but the glare at sunset was brutal. i went through a couple of different films until i found the one in my current setup that didnt ruin the clarity. it definitely takes some trial and error to get the cabin feeling perfect but its so worth it once you do!
