What are the top recommended tech gadgets for a BMW 3 Series?

I recently picked up a 2021 BMW 3 Series, and while the iDrive system is great, I’m looking to level up the tech inside. I’m specifically interested in gadgets that integrate well with the G20 interior without looking cluttered. I’ve been considering a high-quality dash cam that doesn't mess with the Driver Assistance sensors and maybe a wireless charging upgrade since the OEM one gets pretty hot. Does anyone have experience with specific OBD2 adapters for coding features via BimmerCode? I’m looking to spend around $400-$600 total to modernize the experience. For your situation, basically I'd stick with the OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner over the cheaper ones cuz it's way more stable for long coding sessions.

Sooo, I actually tried a super cheap wireless charger from Amazon first and it was a total disaster—it barely charged my phone and honestly made it feel like it was gonna melt... definitely a waste of $30. If ur on a budget, I'd skip the expensive integrated pads and just get a Loncaster Car Phone Holder Silicone Mat for like $15. It stays put on the dash and looks lowkey. Totally agree that stability is everything when you're messing with the OBD port - basically nothing worse than a bricked car. Im kinda new to this whole modding thing too, but from what I’ve seen researching the market lately, you basically gotta choose between two paths: 1. Specialized boutique brands that make parts specifically for the G20 (usually fits better but you pay a premium for the design)
2. Massive general tech brands that have better software support and cloud features but might look a bit "extra" in the cabin The BMW-specific stuff definitely looks way cleaner tho, like it actually belongs there. Before you drop that $600, I had a couple quick questions: * Are you looking for stuff thats easy to remove later if you sell the car, or are you okay with more permanent installs?
