I recently took delivery of my BMW i4 and I’m absolutely loving the car, but with the rainy season approaching, those factory carpet mats aren't going to cut it. I want to keep the interior looking pristine, especially since I have the lighter upholstery. I've been looking at a few options, but I'm torn between the official BMW OEM all-weather mats and third-party brands like WeatherTech or TuxMat.
I’m specifically looking for something that has a precise fit and doesn't slide around, as I’ve heard some universal mats can be a bit finicky with the i4's floor dimensions. High edges would be a huge plus to catch any mud or spills, but I also don't want them to look too 'industrial' and ruin the premium feel of the cabin. For those of you who have already lived through a winter with your i4, how are your mats holding up? Do the OEM ones provide enough coverage for the dead pedal area? I'd love to hear your experiences regarding durability and how easy they are to clean. Which all-weather floor mats would you recommend as the best overall fit for the i4?
Hmm, I've had a different experience than the previous reply. I've owned multiple BMWs over the last ten years, and honestly, the OEM mats have been a bit of a letdown lately. Unfortunately, they just don't offer enough coverage around the dead pedal, and I've had issues with salt and muck ruining the carpet underneath because the edges aren't high enough.
If you really want to protect that light upholstery, I'd actually suggest a different approach. I switched to the TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats for BMW i4 last winter and they're seriously on another level.
* **Full Coverage:** They cover almost every inch of exposed carpet, including high up behind the pedals.
* **Premium Look:** They have a sleek, quilted texture that doesn't look like a construction site.
* **Better Protection:** The WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for BMW i4 is also decent if you want a more rubberized feel, but TuxMat is better for the 'premium' vibe you're after.
Basically, the OEM ones look nice but they're not as good as expected for heavy rain or snow. Just my two cents after cleaning too many salt stains! Cheers.
For your situation, honestly, just grab the BMW i4 All-Weather Floor Mats. I've tried the fancy ones, but the OEM set is actually the best value cuz you can find 'em online for like $110-130. They fit LITERALLY perfectly since they're from BMW, and they don't look all chunky or industrial. They handle mud and rain just fine, and tbh, they're super easy to spray down at the car wash. Definitely the most budget-friendly way to keep that premium feel without breaking the bank! gl!

tbh i had issues with oem. Check out 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mat for BMW i4. They look way less industrial, fit perfect, and are actually a better value for the i4.
