Hey everyone! I finally took delivery of my San Remo Green i4 eDrive40 last week, and I am absolutely loving the drive so far. It is such a huge step up from my old 3 Series. However, I am realizing that the interior, especially that high-gloss piano black trim near the gear selector, is a total fingerprint and scratch magnet. I want to keep the car looking brand new for as long as possible.

I have been looking at a few things online, but I would love to hear from people who have actually lived with the car for a few months. Here is what I am currently considering:

  • All-weather floor mats since the OEM carpet ones seem a bit thin
  • A screen protector for that massive curved display
  • Some sort of organizer for the center console because it is just one big deep hole

I am also curious if anyone has found a good solution for the empty space under the hood. Since BMW did not include a frunk tub, does anyone use a specific storage bag for their Level 1 or Level 2 cables? I really want to avoid cluttering the trunk area if I can help it.

For those of you who have had your i4 for a while, what are the absolute must-have accessories you bought, and is there anything you regret purchasing?

Congrats on the new ride! San Remo Green is easily the best color for the i4. If you want to keep it looking mint, you are right to be worried about that piano black trim because it is a nightmare for micro-scratches. I actually put a pre-cut PPF kit on mine, but a simple Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for BMW Curved Display is a solid start for the screens to prevent oily build-up and accidental scratches from jewelry. For the floors, skip the OEM rubber ones and look at the WeatherTech FloorLiner Laser Measured for BMW i4. They are way more robust and catch all the grit that eventually ruins the carpet underneath. Regarding the frunk, just be careful about stowing things loose under there near the high voltage components. I went with the Wunderfrunk BMW i4 Frunk and it has worked out well for the charging cables. It keeps them clean and out of the way without worrying about them sliding around near the motor or electronics. Honestly, a console tray is a cheap win too. The JDMCAR Center Console Organizer for BMW i4 fits perfectly and stops that deep bin from becoming a junk drawer. Stick to the stuff that actually protects the car's resale value and you will be golden.
