I just picked up my new 2025 Buick Encore GX last week, and I’m absolutely loving the ride so far! However, with winter approaching and the kids tracking in mud and snacks, I realized the factory carpet mats aren't going to cut it for long. I really want to protect the interior while keeping that premium feel the GX has.
I’ve been looking at a few different options, but I'm torn. I’m considering the official Buick premium all-weather liners because I know the fit will be perfect, but brands like WeatherTech and Husky Liners always seem to get high praise for their durability and high lip edges that catch spills. I'm specifically looking for something that covers the dead pedal area well and doesn't slide around on the driver's side. Also, if anyone has found a good rear cargo liner that fits the adjustable load floor properly, that would be a huge plus!
Has anyone already outfitted their 2025 model with aftermarket mats? I’d love to hear which brand you went with and if you think the fit is worth the price tag. Which floor mats offer the best balance of coverage and style for the new Encore GX?
Ok so, congrats on the new ride! I've been driving Buicks for years and honestly, the factory mats are always the first thing to go. For your 2025 GX, I'd highkey recommend the Buick Encore GX Premium All-Weather Floor Liners. I tried the cheaper universal ones before and they literally slid everywhere, which is super dangerous near the pedals.
I went with the official Buick ones because they actually snap into the floor posts perfectly and cover the dead pedal way better than the WeatherTech FloorLiner usually does in these subcompacts. Plus, they have the Buick logo so it keeps that premium vibe you mentioned. For the back, definitely look at the Buick Encore GX Integrated Cargo Liner—it's designed to work with that adjustable load floor so you can still move the floor piece up and down without fighting the mat. It's a bit pricey but worth it for the fit alone imo! gl with the winter mess!
Respectfully, I'd consider another option because I'm SO cautious about safety after a cheap mat once slid under my brake... terrifying! Honestly, I think the WeatherTech FloorLiner 1st & 2nd Row 441611-441612 is way more reliable than budget picks. The laser measurement means it wont budge near the pedals, which is huge for safety. Plus, their WeatherTech Cargo Liner 401348 fits that adjustable floor perfectly. Worth the extra cash for peace of mind, gl!

Honestly, I went through this exact same thing with my setup. I actually ended up with some aftermarket ones that were way cheaper than the dealer options, and tbh the coverage is basically better because they go higher up the sides. My current mats definitely cover that dead pedal area perfectly, which is huge for mud. It really depends on your needs, but don't feel like you GOTTA spend $200+ just for the fit to be decent!!
Seconding the recommendation above regarding the dealer liners! Honestly, those factory ones are safe bets, but if ur trying to save some cash, check out SMARTLINER Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2024-2025 Buick Encore GX. They're basically a more affordable version of the big names. I'm a bit cautious about the fit with cheaper brands tho, so make sure they dont block the pedals... safety first!! I think they offer decent coverage for the dead pedal too. Worth a look if ur on a budget? 👍
Re: "Respectfully, I'd consider another option because I'm SO..."
@Reply #5 - good point! i'm a bit late to the party but honestly... i have been through this so many times over the years and it never gets less annoying. i tried the whole DIY trimming thing once on a generic set to save some money and it was a huge mistake. the edges were sharp and it looked so cheap in a nice car like the GX. my biggest fear is always that bunching up near the accelerator. it's scary how fast a mat can slide forward if the clips aren't perfect. i've even seen people try to use double-sided tape or velcro to fix it and it just gums up the factory carpet. such a pain. just want to keep the mud off without it becoming a literal safety hazard... ugh.
