Hi everyone! I recently picked up a new Buick Encore GX and I’m looking to protect the interior before the rainy season hits. I've been looking at a few options, but I'm torn between the official Buick premium liners and aftermarket brands like WeatherTech or Husky. I’m particularly concerned about the fitment in the back seat and whether they provide enough coverage for the high-traffic areas. I really want something that stays securely in place and is easy to spray down at the car wash. Has anyone found a specific set that fits the GX perfectly without leaving gaps? I’d love to hear which brand you’re using and if they’ve held up well over time!
Oh man, congrats on the new GX!! You're gonna love it, such a smooth ride for the size. I've been a Buick owner for over a decade now and honestly, getting proper mats is basically the first thing I do before the ink even dries on the paperwork lol. I've been through so many sets over the years and here's my take on what'll work best for your situation:
1. Buick Encore GX Premium All-Weather Floor Liners: These are fantastic if you want that OEM look. They've got the Buick logo and they literally clip right into the floor pegs so they wont budge. I used these for a while and they're great, but the side walls are a bit lower than aftermarket ones. If ur dealin' with deep slush, they might not catch everything.
2. WeatherTech FloorLiner 1st and 2nd Row for Buick Encore GX: Seriously, these are like a tank for your interior. The laser fit is amazing—definately zero gaps. They're a bit stiffer than the others tho, almost like a hard tray. Super easy to spray down at the car wash, basically just hose 'em and go. They've held up realy well for me over three seasons.
3. Husky Liners WeatherBeater Series Floor Mats for Buick Encore GX: In my experience, these are lowkey the best for the back seat. They have these little nibs on the bottom that really bite into the carpet. If you have high traffic in the back, these wont slide an inch. Plus they're a bit more rubbery than WeatherTech, which feels nicer under your feet i think.
Anyway, I'd probably go Husky if ur worried about the back seat fit, but WeatherTech is a solid bet too. Hope that helps u out!! peace!

I went through this last year! was super worried about the back seat coverage cuz my kids are messy lol. wanted to save some cash so I tried SMARTLINER Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2020-2024 Buick Encore GX and honestly they fit like a glove. They're way more budget-friendly than the ones mentioned before and hose off so easily. Have u checked those yet??
sooo I went through this exact same headache last year with my old setup. I've been tinkering with interior protection for years and honestly... I had some issues with the big brands mentioned already. unfortunately, some of those 'laser-fit' ones started warping near the door sill after like 6 months of heat, which totally ruins the point if water just slips underneath anyway. I've learned the hard way that technical material composition matters more than the brand name.
Just a couple things I noticed over time:
- TPE materials tend to hold their shape better than basic rubber in high-traffic areas
- The rear seat fitment usually fails because the middle 'hump' coverage isn't high enough
But before I go on, I gotta ask:
1. Are you looking for the stiff tray-style liners or something more flexible?
2. Does ur GX have the factory carpet hooks in the back too, or just the front?
idk but finding that perfect seal is lowkey harder than it looks lol.
yo, congrats on the GX!! saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to reply... honestly, i've tried many mats over the years and for safety, nothing beats a set that actually LOCKS in place. i mean, the last thing you want is a mat sliding up under your brake pedal while driving, right?? seriously scary stuff. for your situation, i highkey recommend looking at 3D MAXpider Kagu Floor Mats for Buick Encore GX. i know some brands were mentioned already, but these have a special backing that basically grips the carpet so they wont budge an inch. plus the fitment is literally perfect, no gaps at all even in the back seat!! they're super easy to spray down at the car wash too. idk but for me, safety-first is always the way to go... gl with the new ride!! 👍
tbh PixelPoet is spot on about the material warping over time... it's usually down to the thermal expansion coefficients in cheaper plastics. quick tip for ya: if you want the absolute highest vertical coverage in the industry, check out TuxMat Floor Mats for Buick Encore GX. they cover almost all the exposed carpet up the sides, not just the floor pan. another one to look at if you're worried about durability is the Lasfit All-Weather Floor Mats for Buick Encore GX. they use an injection-molded TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) instead of the thinner vacuum-formed stuff. it holds its shape way better under heat stress and doesnt get that 'fried egg' edge curl after a summer in the sun.
