I recently picked up the new Buick Envision and I’m absolutely loving the smooth ride and the premium interior. However, I’ve noticed that the cargo area is a bit of a 'blank canvas' and my groceries and gear end up sliding around every time I take a corner. Since the Envision has such a sleek cabin, I really want an organizer that matches that upscale feel rather than just throwing a cheap plastic bin in the back.
I’ve been looking at a few options, like the official GM integrated cargo blocks or those foldable heavy-duty bins, but I’m worried about the fitment with the Envision's specific trunk dimensions and the hands-free power liftgate sensor. I’m looking for something that is durable, stays secure on the carpet, and ideally has some compartments for smaller items like emergency kits or detailing sprays. Does anyone have a specific brand or model they’ve installed that fits perfectly without taking up the entire floor space? I’d love to hear what you’re using to keep your trunk tidy—any photos or links would be much appreciated!
Respectfully, I'd actually suggest a different approach before you go the bin route. Ngl, I've had issues with those 'heavy-duty' foldable bins—they usually look premium for a week then just get sloppy and slide anyway because the Envision’s carpet is actually pretty slick. Plus, if you pack them too high, they can interfere with the power liftgate's pinch sensors, which is a total pain.
Instead of a bin, I'd look at the WeatherTech Cargo-Liner paired with the WeatherTech CargoContainment System. It’s basically a custom-fit tray that protects the interior and has these weighted, grippy blocks that 'lock' onto the mat. It’s way more technical and looks much more integrated than a generic bag. Honestly, I tried the OEM blocks on the bare carpet once and they were not as good as expected; they kept pulling up the carpet fibers. This setup is much safer for the long-term finish of your trunk. Just my two cents based on some annoying trial and error! 👍
Seconding the recommendation above! Those slick carpets are such a pain. Honestly, I saw this earlier and wanted to chime in because I'm all about that budget life. If you don't wanna drop $100+ on the official GM gear, check out the Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Straps. It's usually like $25-30 and actually HAS straps to keep it from sliding!!
Another solid value move is the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable. It's super sturdy for the price (around $40) and fits the Envision's dimensions pretty well without blocking the liftgate sensors. GL with the new ride!! 👍

Hey, congrats on the new ride! Honestly, I totally get ur concern about keeping that premium interior looking sharp. I was also pretty worried about things sliding around and potentially scratching the plastic trim. For your situation, I would suggest checking out the Drive Auto Car Trunk Organizer. It's basically a foldable bin, but it looks way more high-end than a cheap plastic crate.
I picked mine up for about $25 on sale, which is a steal compared to the official GM stuff. It has these tie-down straps that hook into the Envision's floor anchors so it doesn't move at all when ur turning. Plus, it has side pockets for detailing sprays or an emergency kit. One thing tho—just be careful not to block the liftgate sensor near the bumper. As long as you keep it centered, it works great and doesn't take up the whole floor. It’s a decent option if ur on a budget like me. Good luck! 👍
Similar situation here - I went through this last year after a really scary incident where a loose emergency kit slid under the seat and jammed a sensor during a hard brake. Honestly, it was super disappointing because you'd think the premium carpet would have more grip, but unfortunately, it's actually like a skating rink back there.
I tried a few things that didn't work:
* Basic bins that just tipped over
* Heavy rubber mats that smelled terrible
* Adhesive velcro that basically ruined the pile of the carpet
I finally settled on a setup that uses weighted anchors. My current setup stays put because I prioritize safety over everything else—I've seen what happens when heavy stuff flies forward in a sudden stop. It’s not as pretty as the sleek interior, but knowing those detailing sprays won't become projectiles is worth it. Just sharing because I wish I'd focused on the weight and anchoring rather than just the look from the start!
Saving this whole thread. So much good info here you guys are awesome.
