I’m struggling to keep my Buick Enclave’s trunk from becoming a disaster zone, especially with the third row folded down. I need something sturdy that won't slide around during turns and can handle groceries or sports gear. Does anyone have a specific brand or custom-fit model they love for this SUV? What’s the best option for maximizing that deep storage well?

Honestly, I've tried so many setups in my Enclave over the years, and the deep well is basically a black hole if you don't organize it right. For your situation, I would suggest the WeatherTech CargoTech Containment System because those corner blocks literally GRIP the floor and stop gear from sliding during turns. If you want something more heavy-duty for groceries, the Drive Auto Products Car Cargo Organizer is also SOLID cuz it straps down to the tie-hooks so it won't budge. Good luck!

Honestly, the key to mastering the Buick Enclave's trunk is understanding that deep well is actually a huge asset if you don't let it become a junk drawer. I've been organizing SUVs for years, and you really gotta balance durability with cost, especially if you're hauling sports gear that gets dirty.

For your situation, here's what I recommend after trying a bunch of setups:

• TrunkCrrate Pro Large Multi Compartment Collapsible Cargo Organizer - This is my budget-friendly go-to. It's super sturdy with reinforced walls so it doesn't collapse when empty, and it has sub-dividers that are perfect for groceries. It's way cheaper than custom-fit bins but feels high-end.

• Starling's Car Trunk Organizer with Adjustable Straps - This one is GREAT because of the tie-down straps. Since you're worried about sliding during turns, you just hook this to the Enclave's floor anchors and it literally wont budge.

I mean, you could spend a fortune on OEM stuff, but these give you way more flexibility for like half the price. Plus, you can just fold 'em flat when you need the full floor space back. Hope that helps! 👍

To add to the point above: I've been driving Enclaves for over a decade and honestly, the DIY route combined with a solid base is life-changing! Forget the flimsy stuff from big box stores.

  • First off, Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid-Base Trunk Organizer is absolutely amazing because it has a non-slip bottom that actually stays put on the factory carpet. Its got these customizable dividers that are perfect for sports gear and wont collapse under heavy weight.
  • If you really want to maximize that deep well, I actually built a custom platform using 3/4 inch plywood and outdoor carpet. It creates a false floor so you can slide flatter items like folding chairs or umbrellas underneath and keep the groceries on top! It is a total game changer for family road trips.
  • Another fantastic option is the Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Detachable Cover. I love it because the side panels are super rigid and it doesnt sag when its empty like those cheap nylon ones. Love how much space we get in these rigs, basically just takes a bit of elbow grease to make it perfect! If you need dimensions for building that floor insert just let me know, totally happy to share my notes.

Ok so, honestly, after dealing with a few cheap bins that basically turned into projectiles during sudden stops, I gotta prioritize safety. I've been thinking about your setup and here is what I recommend:

- Go with anything from WeatherTech. Seriously, their stuff is STURDY and wont slide around.
- Just get a heavy-duty trunk liner from Husky.

Unfortunately, many "universal" bins are kinda flimsy and might fail if you're hauling heavy gear. Safety first! 👍
