I just picked up my 2025 Buick Encore and noticed the cargo space is a bit unique. I'm looking for a trunk organizer that fits the dimensions perfectly without sliding around or blocking the sub-floor access. Does anyone have a specific brand or model that fits the compact trunk well? I really need to keep my groceries and gear secure!

oh man, congrats on the new 2025 Encore! i honestly love how compact it is but yeah, that cargo space is definitely... unique lol. before i give u any specific recs, what kind of gear are u normally hauling? like, are we talking just light groceries or heavy sports equipment? also, do u need it to be collapsible so u can get to the sub-floor area quickly??

so basically, the Encore has a smaller footprint than people realize. because the floor is elevated, a lot of the massive "SUV-sized" organizers u see online are literally gonna be too deep or tall. i mean, i spent like two weeks testing different setups in mine because i was sooo tired of my stuff sliding around whenever i took a turn.

in my experience, you really wanna look for something with a high-friction rubberized bottom rather than just velcro. honestly, the velcro strips can sometimes pull at the carpet fibers on these newer models if ur not careful. i ended up going with a mid-sized modular setup from Drive Auto and it works well because it doesnt take up the whole width. i can basically just slide it to the left to reach the latch for the spare tire area without having to unload the whole thing!! plus, it stays put even when i'm driving a bit fast haha. gl with the new ride! 👍

For your situation, I've actually tried a few different setups in my own Encore, and honestly, the compact trunk is kinda tricky to work with. I first tried a generic fold-up organizer from a big box store, but it was way too wide and basically blocked the sub-floor access entirely... which was sooo annoying when I needed my spare tools. Plus, it kept sliding around on the carpet every time I took a turn, even with the Velcro bottoms.

If you're looking for value, I’d compare a custom-fit collapsible bin versus a hanging seat-back organizer. Option A (the floor bins) are great for heavy groceries, but they take up the whole floor. Option B (the hanging ones) keeps the floor clear for bigger gear, but they can't hold much weight before they sag. Honestly, for the Encore, I'd look at the official Buick Integrated Cargo Organizer. It’s designed specifically for the dimensions, so it doesn't shift, and it leaves just enough room to pop that floor panel up. It's a bit more expensive than a cheap one from Amazon, but the fit is way better.

I also looked at the WeatherTech CargoTech blocks which are cool because they’re just little corners that stick to the floor. They’re super flexible for weirdly shaped gear, but unfortunately, they don't really help with "organizing" small stuff, just stopping big stuff from sliding. Idk, maybe think about what's more important: keeping things separated or just keeping the floor open? Are you looking for something that folds flat when you aren't using it, or something more permanent? anyway hope that helps! gl!

I'm looking for a trunk organizer that fits the dimensions perfectly Late to the party here but I absolutely have to commiserateβ€”the Encore's cargo floor is incredibly frustrating! It drives me insane how everything slides around because of that unique shape. It's such a struggle trying to keep things organized without blocking that sub-floor access. It is honestly the most annoying part of an otherwise amazing car! I have spent so much time venting about this exact issue. After methodically comparing a few specific brands, here is what actually works:

  • Drive Auto Products Car Trunk Organizer with Straps is fantastic. It has tie-down straps that secure to the Encore's floor hooks, which is a total game changer for stability. It is usually about $25.
  • Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable is also amazing. It provides a much more rigid structure compared to cheaper mesh bins, which is perfect for heavier gear. Comparing the two, the Drive Auto model is much easier to collapse when you need to reach the spare tire quickly, while the Starling brand offers superior durability for heavy grocery hauls. Both fit the compact dimensions perfectly!

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year when I got my Encore. Honestly, I didn't wanna spend a fortune, so I basically focused on value.

1. I tried a few generic bins from WeatherTech but they were too bulky.
2. I eventually found that foldable mesh bins from any cheap brand at Target or Walmart actually fit best.
3. Keep it lightweight so you can literally just toss it aside when you need that sub-floor access. It's wayyy easier on the budget too!!
