Hey everyone, I'm looking to replace the tires on my Cadillac XT5 soon and wanted to get some recommendations. The title says it all: what are the best tires for a Cadillac XT5?
I've been doing some research online, but honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the different brands and types. I mostly do city driving, but I also take occasional road trips, so I need something that's good for both. Comfort and low road noise are pretty important to me since it's a Cadillac, but I also want something that will last a decent amount of time. I'm not looking for anything super high-performance, just a reliable and comfortable tire.
I've seen some people mention Michelin and Continental, but I'm open to other suggestions too. Has anyone had particularly good or bad experiences with certain brands on their XT5? Also, what size tires do you recommend sticking with the factory size, or is there a benefit to going slightly wider? And roughly, what kind of mileage are you getting out of your sets? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! For my XT5, I tried the Michelins (Pilot Sport) first, but honestly, they wore down quicker than expected. Switched to Continentals (CrossContact LX25), and they're much better for mileage and road noise, IMO. Sticking with the factory size is usually safest, unless you're after a specific look... Got about 50k miles on the Continentals so far. Hope this helps!

Hey! I get wanting to save some cash. Honestly, I've been super happy with Hankook tires on my XT5. They're a good mid-range option that balances price and performance. Got almost 50k miles out of my last set, and they were way cheaper than Michelins or Continentals!

Hey! So, while Michelins and Continentals are popular, don't overlook other brands. I've had really good luck with Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack tires on other vehicles, and they're known for low noise and long life. They're usually a bit more affordable than Michelin, too. Worth checking the prices!
As for size, sticking with the factory size is generally safest to avoid any rubbing issues or speedometer inaccuracies. You can use a tire size calculator online to see what the ACTUAL size difference is if you consider going wider – it might only be a tiny change. Wider *can* improve handling a bit, but honestly, on an XT5, you probably won't notice much difference in normal driving.
And regarding mileage, that's super dependent on your driving style and road conditions. I'd say expect anywhere from 40k to 60k miles, but it's a wide range!
