Looking for high-quality sunshades for the Cadillac VISTIQ.

Hey everyone! I’m absolutely loving my new Cadillac VISTIQ so far, but I’ve quickly realized that this gorgeous interior needs some serious protection from the sun. With all that premium leather and the massive, high-tech display sprawling across the dashboard, I’m getting a little paranoid about UV damage and heat soak when I have to park it outside during the day.

The VISTIQ has such a unique windshield shape and a pretty expansive greenhouse, so I really want to avoid those "one-size-fits-all" shades you find at the local auto parts store. I tried a generic medium-sized one I had laying around in the garage, and it wasn't even close—it left huge gaps on the sides and kept sagging because of how the rearview mirror housing is positioned. I’m looking for something that feels as premium as the car itself. Ideally, I’d like a custom-fit, heavy-duty folding shade that’s specifically measured for the VISTIQ’s dimensions so it stays snug against the A-pillars and doesn't let any light bleed through.

I'm also particularly curious if anyone has found a high-quality solution for the panoramic sunroof yet. While the factory tint is nice, on those 90-degree days, I can definitely feel the heat radiating down. It’s making the climate control work overtime, which I’d love to avoid to help preserve my battery range. I’ve seen some mesh inserts or even solid thermal shades for the LYRIQ, but I haven't seen many confirmed listings for the VISTIQ quite yet since it's so new.

Does anyone have recommendations for a high-end brand like Covercraft or WeatherTech that is already manufacturing specifically for the VISTIQ? I’m looking for something that is easy to fold up and store when I have passengers, but thick enough to actually block the thermal energy. Has anyone found a reliable source for these yet, or are we still waiting for the aftermarket to catch up?

Oh man, I totally feel u on this! I'm super protective of my VISTIQ too—that dashboard is basically a work of art and the last thing we want is the sun baking that premium leather or messing with the screen. I'm actually a bit of a freak about heat soak because I worry about the long-term reliability of the electronics... seriously, heat is the enemy!!

For your situation, I've gotta say that waiting for the generic brands is a HUGE mistake. I've tried a few things and here is what I recommend:

* Covercraft Custom UVS100 Sunscreen for Cadillac VISTIQ: This is the gold standard imo. It's a heavy-duty folding accordion style. Pros: it's LITERALLY a perfect fit for that massive windshield and the foam core is thick enough to block almost all thermal energy. Cons: it's kinda bulky to store, but the protection is AMAZING.
* WeatherTech Custom Fit SunShade: I use this in my other SUV. Pros: it’s a roll-up style that’s usually a bit cheaper than the Covercraft and it has a silver/black reversible side for winter. Cons: it can sometimes lose its shape over time compared to a folding board, and I’m always cautious about it rubbing the A-pillars.

Honestly, definitely go with the Covercraft Custom UVS100 Sunscreen if they have it in stock yet. If not, check their site daily cuz they're usually the first to get the scans done! As for the roof, I'm still hunting for a solid VISTIQ-specific mesh... I might actually look into a high-end ceramic tint for the pano roof just to be safe. It helps so much with battery range when the AC isn't screaming!

What do you think about the ceramic tint option, or are you strictly looking for a removable shade? Cheers! 👍

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before dropping big money on those custom brands. I actually had a similar issue when I first got my car and realized that high-end custom shades like WeatherTech Custom Fit SunShade or Covercraft UVS100 Custom Sunscreen can be super pricey—like $100+ after shipping—and they're honestly a pain to store because they're so stiff.

I mean, I'm all about protecting that dashboard, but you might wanna look at EcoNour Car Windshield Sun Shade in the XL size or a similar flexible wire-frame shade first. They're usually under $20 on Amazon and, while they aren't "custom," the flexible edges actually tuck into the A-pillars really well for a tight seal. Plus, they fold into a tiny circle you can slide right under the seat, which is way more practical when you have people in the back. For the roof, I'd honestly just wait a few months for the generic VISTIQ Mesh Roof Sunshade clones to hit eBay for $30 instead of overpaying now. Just my two cents on keeping it budget-friendly! gl!

Ok so, I totally get the paranoia... that dashboard is basically a giant glass target for the sun lol. Since the VISTIQ is still super new, the big players are kinda slow to update their catalogs. But honestly, if you want that high-end feel, you might find this useful—check out HeatShield Custom Gold Series Sunshade for Cadillac VISTIQ.

I've used them on other EV builds and they are legit. They usually have a custom-fit sensor cutout so it wont mess with the rearview mirror housing or that massive screen.

For the roof, be careful with those cheap suction cup ones cuz they can leave marks on the glass or even sag and hit your head. I would suggest looking at Vancooler Panoramic Sunroof Sunshade for Cadillac VISTIQ if they have the VISTIQ dimensions ready yet, or keep an eye on WeatherTech TechShade Full Vehicle Kit since they usually include the sunroof panels for EVs. Pro tip: make sure to get the folding ones rather than the roll-up ones, they stay much more snug against the A-pillars and dont look like a messy tinfoil hat in your $90k car! gl!

yo, I feel u on the struggle... its honestly so annoying when the aftermarket takes forever to catch up to a new release like the VISTIQ. I had some major issues with a generic "premium" shade I bought for my last EV and it literally fell apart in two months, so I'm also being super picky now. From what I've seen in the market right now, most the big brands are still in the scanning phase for this interior.

I think brands like HeatShield or maybe Intro-Tech usually move a bit faster than the others, but I'm not 100% sure if they're shipping yet. Tbh, if you cant find a custom folding one, you might wanna look into high-end ceramic window tint for that panoramic roof. I did that on my last car and it made a HUGE difference compared to those clunky mesh inserts that always sag anyway. Just a thought since the custom shades for such a new model are still kinda MIA. good luck!

Dude, congrats on the VISTIQ! That interior is seriously next level... I'm obsessed with that massive screen. I saw your post earlier and it got me thinking. I'm not 100% sure if they've released the exact specs for the VISTIQ yet, but I think I heard some guys in my local EV group talking about a DIY workaround using thermal rolls and some high-strength suction cups. It sounds a bit crazy for a Cadillac but honestly it might be the only way to get a perfect fit right now while the big companies are still lagging! Quick question tho... are you looking for something that is super easy to stow under the seat, or do you have enough room in the trunk for something a bit bulkier? Just curious cuz those DIY folding ones can get a bit chunky if you use the thick insulation stuff...
