I recently picked up a CT4-V and I’m looking to swap out the stock rims for something with a bit more personality. I’m really torn between going for a lightweight forged setup to improve handling or sticking with a more aggressive concave look for the aesthetics. Since the CT4-V has a specific bolt pattern and offset requirements, I want to make sure I don't run into any rubbing issues, especially if I decide to lower it later. Has anyone here experimented with brands like Apex, Vossen, or Forgestar on this platform? I’d love to know what specs you’re running—what wheel size and offset combo do you think provides the best flush fitment without compromising the ride quality?
Curious about one thing: are you planning to track the car or is this mostly for a daily driver street setup?? That really changes the offset math tbh.
So basically, here is the technical breakdown on fitment for these:
1. For that flush look without rubbing, you gotta aim for a +35 to +38 offset on a 9-inch wide wheel.
2. Apex VS-5RS 18x9 ET30 is a killer lightweight option, but it's aggressive; you might poke a bit if you aren't lowered.
3. If you want concave vibes, Forgestar CF5V 19x9 ET38 usually clears the Brembos perfectly while keeping the ride quality decent.
Let me know your goals and I can check some load ratings too!

Ok so, basically, wheels for the CT4-V are a headache cuz of that 5x120 bolt pattern and high offsets. I tried Vossen HF-5 Wheels first and honestly? They looked sick but were way too heavy for the performance I wanted. Not as good as expected for the price.
If ur on a budget, highkey check out Apex VS-5RS Forged Wheels 18x9 ET30. They’re flow-formed, super light for the track, and usually under $2k for a set. Best flush fitment imo without rubbing issues even if u lower it. Good luck lol!
Bookmarked, thanks!

Just sharing my experience: so basically I spent months researching safety cuz I was terrified of a wheel failing at highway speeds. I ended up going with Apex VS-5RS 18x8.5 ET35 and honestly, it’s amazing!! The forged strength gives me such peace of mind, you know? I haven't lowered it yet, but the clearance with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/40R18 feels super safe and flush. Love it so far! 👍
