Finally got the 2024 Escalade in the driveway and man it is a beast. I've had Denalis for years so I thought I knew the drill but this interior feels way more delicate. My logic was just to grab some WeatherTechs and call it a day but then I saw how much piano black is near the center console and that curved OLED screen is just huge. I am in Chicago so the salt is gonna be a nightmare once winter hits and I really need to figure out how to protect the seat backs from the kids. So I was thinking maybe TuxMat for the floors since they cover more carpet? Does anyone do PPF on the interior trim or is that overkill? I have about $1500 set aside to get this sorted by next weekend before our road trip. Looking for suggestions on what actually fits the 2024 layout perfectly...

Re: "Agreeing here. My last install on high-gloss panels..." - yeah honestly I had a bad time with those generic film kits before. I tried a cheap one on my last SUV and it looked terrible after a month because it started peeling at the edges. It just made the piano black look cloudy and messy, not as good as expected at all. Total waste of money tbh. Since you are in Chicago, you really gotta think about the cargo area too. I tried a basic rubber mat once and salt just leaked around the edges... unfortunately it ruined the trim underneath. For the Escalade, maybe look at the Canvasback Custom Cargo Liner for 2024 Cadillac Escalade. It covers everything including the back of the seats so the kids wont ruin them when they are folded down. Also, I definitely recommend Chemical Guys Leather Serum Protective Coating to keep the salt from drying out your seats. It is easy to apply and doesnt leave that gross greasy look. You got this, the road trip will be great!

TuxMat is the way to go for Chicago winters. I used TuxMat Custom Floor Mats for 2024 Cadillac Escalade and they cover way more carpet than WeatherTech. For the screen, skip the pro PPF and get a The Screen Protector Guys 38-inch Curved OLED Protector. Grab some Enovoe Back Seat Protectors for the kids. Youll save a ton of money compared to a pro shop.

Same here man, that piano black is honestly a disaster waiting to happen. Im dealin with the same anxiety on my 2024 and its stressin me out. Be super careful with generic films tho, they can peel or bubble. Id suggest XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS Interior Protection Film for the console. For the kids, I grabbed Lusso Gear Heavy Duty Kick Mats for the seat backs. They stay put and dont look like trash.

Re: "Same here man, that piano black is honestly..." - yeah I totally agree that the stress is real. I’ve been through this with my last few trucks and I finally found a groove that works for me. I’m actually gonna disagree on the film though... I’m a pretty cautious guy and after watching my buddy struggle with peeling edges on his BMW console, I decided to keep it simple. I’ve been super satisfied just using a dedicated microfiber.

  • The luxury market is moving toward these high-gloss finishes everywhere, so Cadillac is just following the trend seen in Mercedes and Audi.
  • Interior adhesives can be really finicky with temperature swings, especially with the harsh Chicago winters and hot summers.
  • I’ve had no complaints just being mindful of where I put my keys or phone. Honestly, I’m much happier not worrying about glue residue later on. Just my two cents from a fellow cautious owner!

Agreeing here. My last install on high-gloss panels taught me to be cautious about adhesive residue. Ceramic coating might be a safer alternative to prevent scratches without risking heat-induced degassing.
