I finally pulled the trigger on a new 2024 Escalade last week and man, the interior is so nice I’m actually terrified of my kids ruining it already. We’re up in Chicago so with winter coming the salt and slush is gonna be a nightmare for those carpets.
I’m basically torn between two directions for the floor mats. On one hand, everyone says get WeatherTech because they’re indestructible, but then I saw those TuxMats and they look way more high-end, like they actually match the Cadillac vibe better. My logic was that WeatherTech might look a bit too utility truck for such an expensive SUV, but I’m worried if the TuxMats are actually hard to clean when they get really caked in mud.
Also looking at center console organizers since that deep bin is just a black hole. There’s a basic $20 plastic insert on Amazon or this $60 one that has a built-in light and better dividers. Is the extra $40 worth it for a piece of plastic? I’ve got about $500 set aside for this first protection phase before we take our first road trip to see family next month. If you guys had to choose between the ruggedness of WeatherTech or the look of TuxMat, which one actually holds up better in a luxury cabin?
> If you guys had to choose between the ruggedness of WeatherTech or the look of TuxMat, which one actually holds up better in a luxury cabin? In my experience, I've tried many brands over the years and honestly, the TuxMat Cadillac Escalade Floor Mats Custom Fit are the clear winner for an Escalade. WeatherTech feels a bit too much like a work truck imo. TuxMat covers way more side carpet, which is huge for those messy Chicago winters. My kids spilled a whole latte on mine last year and it wiped right off... the luxury look actually matches the cabin vibes way better tho.
