Best trunk organizers for a Chevrolet Trailblazer?

I’ve been loving my new Chevy Trailblazer, but I’m struggling to keep the cargo area tidy. Since it’s a more compact SUV, things tend to slide around whenever I’m running errands or heading to the trailhead. I’m specifically looking for something that fits well with the adjustable cargo floor—I don't want anything too bulky that blocks the lower storage level. I’ve seen some generic ones online, but I’m worried about the fit and whether they’ll stay secure on the carpet. Does anyone have a specific trunk organizer recommendation that fits the Trailblazer’s dimensions perfectly and keeps groceries from flying everywhere?

sooo i literally just went through this same struggle with my Trailblazer last month! basically, you gotta think about how the adjustable floor works... if you get a massive bin, you cant even reach the lower level without moving everything out, which is a total pain ngl. For your situation, i've been super happy with two different setups depending on the budget.

Here's what I recommend:

• Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable 2-Compartment - This is my favorite cuz it's actually expandable. I keep it half-size most of the time so it doesnt eat up the whole floor, and it has these grippy bottom strips so it doesnt slide on the carpet at all. Plus it's pretty cheap!

• Knodel Car Trunk Organizer with Collapsible Lids - This one is a bit more premium because it has a lid. Its great if you want to stack stuff on top of it, but it might feel a bit bulkier than the Starling's one.

Both of these fit way better than those generic ones from the big box stores. Honestly, the Starling's one works well and is definitely the better value imo. hope that helps!!

oh man, I totally feel u on this! I've had my Trailblazer for about six months now and honestly, stuff was sliding around like crazy every time I hit a corner. Since the cargo area is kinda compact, I was super cautious about blocking that lower storage level too... i mean, that's where I keep my emergency kit so I didn't wanna lose access to it.

For your situation, I would suggest checking out the Drive Auto Car Trunk Organizer. I'm actually really satisfied with it cuz it's not too bulky but still keeps groceries upright. Plus, it has these tie-down straps that actually hook into the cargo anchors so it doesn't shift on the carpet at all.

Here is why it works well iirc:
- It's collapsible, so if you need the full floor, you just fold it flat
- The base is reinforced so it stays sturdy even when it's not totally full
- It fits perfectly on one side of the adjustable floor without blocking the whole thing

I guess the only thing is to make sure you tighten those straps down good so it doesn't budge. But yeah, overall no complaints here! gl! 👍

Similar situation here - I went through this last year when I first got my Trailblazer. Honestly, I spent way too much time measuring the cargo area because I didn't want to spend a fortune or lose access to that lower tier. In my experience, the trick is finding something with a narrow depth. I've tried many different setups, but I eventually landed on the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable 2 Compartments because it's super budget-friendly and doesn't eat up the whole floor.

I actually found that using a "sticky" base is better than just velcro on the TB carpet. I picked up the Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Waterproof Cover for like thirty bucks and it has these reinforced base plates that keep it from sliding when I'm hitting those trailhead turns. It's lowkey perfect because it leaves just enough room to lift the adjustable floor without having to yank the whole thing out. Plus, it folds flat if I need to haul bigger stuff. gl with the search!

Jumping in here because I love a good cargo setup. Quick question tho... what are you mostly hauling to the trailhead? Knowing if its muddy boots or just a few grocery bags makes a huge difference in what setup works best with that adjustable floor. I actually lean toward a semi-DIY approach myself because standard bins always seem to slide on that carpet. I have compared a few setups lately:

  • Trunkite Cargo Organizer with Straps is great because it has those tie-down points for safety, and its not too deep so it doesnt feel like a wall in the back.
  • Honey-Can-Do Folding Trunk Organizer is decent for light groceries, but honestly, it can be a bit flimsy if you are really pushing it with heavy gear. A DIY trick I use is getting a Genuine GM Cargo Management System Net and pairing it with some low-profile bins. That way you can just unhook or lift the net to hit the lower storage level without moving a whole heavy box. Would love to know if you are looking for something waterproof or just for organization?

Honestly, I had a scary moment where a heavy plastic bin slid forward during a quick stop, so safety is a HUGE deal for me now. I'd actually suggest looking for something with heavy-duty Velcro or straps that anchor to the side hooks. Have you checked out the official Chevy accessories? They're kinda pricey, but the fit is perfect and they won't fly around and hit someone if you're ever in an accident... safety first, you know??

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.

So basically, we’ve covered everything from the cheap expandable bins to the high-end Chevy gear. Tbh, I looked into the DIY route since I like to customize my stuff, but I’m realy hesitant about it after seeing how it can go wrong. Here are a few things to watch out for if you're thinking about a custom or DIY setup: - **Weight Balance:** The adjustable floor is great, but it’s not meant for heavy DIY wood builds. Too much weight can warp the panel or mess with the track system over time.
- **Emergency Access:** Iirc, someone mentioned the lower level access. If you build something too rigid, you might find yourself stuck on the side of the road unable to reach your spare tire or kit without a screwdriver. - **Material Safety:** Ngl, be careful with those cheap rubber 'anti-slip' liners. They can sometimes melt or bond to the carpet in high heat, which is a nightmare to clean. Definately lean toward something lightweight and removable. Better to be safe than sorry when you're out at the trailhead!
