I recently joined the EV club with a new Chevrolet Bolt, and while the car itself is fantastic, the interior feels like it needs a few tech upgrades to really round out the experience. I’ve already noticed that the wireless charging pad can be a bit finicky with my phone case, and I’m definitely looking for ways to keep the cabin organized since the open floor space up front is a bit of a double-edged sword.
I’m specifically looking for accessories that improve the daily driving experience. For example, has anyone found a high-quality screen protector that actually reduces fingerprints on the infotainment display? I’m also curious if there’s a preferred Bluetooth OBD2 scanner for tracking battery health via apps like Recurrent or Torque Pro. I'm trying to keep my budget around $200 for a few key items that are durable and fit the Bolt’s unique layout perfectly.
What are your absolute must-have tech accessories or small mods that you’ve added to your Bolt to make it more functional or user-friendly?
Ok so, i've had my Bolt for a few years and honestly? The interior organization is kinda a mess. For the OBD2 scanner, I compared the vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner vs the cheaper Veepeak OBDCheck BLE Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner. The vLinker is *way* faster for Real-Time data in Torque Pro, but the Veepeak is fine if you're on a budget. I'd definitely go with the vLinker tho, cuz the connection is just more stable!! Also, grab a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Chevrolet Bolt EV... it actually helps with those gross fingerprints. good luck!
Quick question—are you using an iPhone+or+Android+for+your&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone or Android for your Bolt? It makes a huge difference because the wireless charging issues are often linked to specific MagSafe cases or coil alignment. Before I dive into technical specs for an OBD2 setup, I want to make sure I suggest a scanner with the right protocol support for your specific device. Also, is your Bolt an EV or the EUV model? The interior tray dimensions vary slightly between them.
