I just picked up my 2024 Silverado 1500 and man Im stressed about this new interior. Ive had trucks for ten years but this new layout with all the screens and that piano black trim is stressing me out. My logic was to go with WeatherTechs but I saw some guys saying TuxMat covers more of the carpet and since Im out in Oregon with all the mud that feels smarter. Im also worried about the center console lid getting worn down since I rest my arm there constantly. My budget is pretty tight after the down payment so I cant go crazy. Should I get a screen protector for that massive display? It attracts fingerprints like crazy...
Late to the party here but i wanted to chime in on the safety side of things. In my experience, people overlook how dangerous loose gear can be in a new truck. If you ever have to slam on the brakes, anything under your seat becomes a projectile... not good. I always go with DU-HA Under Seat Storage for 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab to keep my tools and tow straps locked down. Also, since you mentioned Oregon mud, skip the cheap stuff and look at Covercraft Carhartt Precision Fit Seat Covers for 2024 Silverado. They are incredibly reliable and, most importantly, they are designed not to interfere with your seat-mounted airbags. Tbh, spending a bit more on seat protection now is way cheaper than a professional detail or a safety issue later on. Just my two cents after years of owning these rigs... helps keep the stress levels down too.
In my experience, Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Liners 2024 Silverado 1500 offer superior chemical resistance. Plus, the Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer for Chevy Silverado provides structural division for that deep bin.
honestly man, ive been through plenty of trucks and the new silverado interiors are nice but yeah... that piano black is a magnet for scratches. if youre dealing with oregon mud, dont even bother with the basic ones. in my experience, TuxMat Custom Car Floor Mats for Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the only way to go because they actually crawl up the sides to block the mess. few things i always grab for a new rig:
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone chiming in. Super helpful discussion.
