What are the best off-road accessories for a Chevy Silverado?

Seconding the recommendation above! Ngl, after years of wrenching on Silverados, I’ve seen way too many cracked oil pans. Basically, off-roading is all about risk management. 1. Rough Country 2-inch Leveling Kit - Great for fitting BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, but watch those CV angles.
2. RCI Offroad Full Skid Plate Set - Highkey the better move for reliability. Armor up the transfer case before you regret it... gl!

Yo, congrats on the truck!! Check out the SilveradoSierra forums—seriously a huge resource for budget builds. Instead of the spacers mentioned before, I'd highkey go with Bilstein B8 5100 Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorbers. It's a way better value cuz it improves ur suspension travel while leveling it out. Also, grab a Rhino USA Heavy Duty Recovery Strap 3" x 30' before hitting the dirt... literally way cheaper than a tow bill lol! GL!

Ngl, that advice about the skid plates is spot on. If ur hitting trails, keeping the vitals safe is priority #1. I've been wheeling Silverados for a minute and honestly, everyone forgets about the heat and the smaller stuff that keeps u from getting stranded. Tbh, focus on reliability first so u actually make it home without a massive repair bill. Here's a couple things I’d add to the list for a solid setup: 1. Viair 400P Portable Compressor - You gotta air down ur tires for traction and to save ur suspension from getting rattled to death. Iirc, running street pressure on washboards is a recipe for broken parts, so having a way to pump back up is huge.
2. Mishimoto Heavy-Duty Transmission Cooler - These trucks can get pretty toasty when ur crawling or climbing hills in the heat. Keeping those temps down is basically essential for long-term reliability.
3. White Knuckle Off Road Rock Sliders - Most factory steps will just get ripped off or crush ur rocker panels if u hit a rock. Real sliders are basically insurance for ur bodywork. Just my two cents, but definitely get the cooling and air sorted before going too crazy with other stuff!

If youre serious about moderate trails, investing in a high-quality coilover system right out of the gate is a total game changer for the Silverados ride quality and longevity! Its basically the best move you can make.
