Hey everyone! I recently upgraded to a newer Chevy Silverado, and while I absolutely love the truck's power and the massive amount of cabin space, I’m having a real hard time keeping the interior from turning into a total disaster zone.

Specifically, the center console is like a bottomless pit. It’s huge, which is great in theory, but I find myself throwing my sunglasses, charging cables, wallet, and pens in there, and five minutes later, it’s a chaotic mess. I literally have to dig to the bottom every time I need to find my registration or a spare charging brick. It’s reached a point where I’m actually losing things in my own truck!

Beyond the console, I’m also struggling with the back seat area. I do a lot of DIY projects on the weekends, so I usually have a few small tools, tie-down straps, and a first-aid kit rolling around on the floorboards. My Silverado didn't come with the factory under-seat storage bin, so everything just slides around every time I take a sharp turn or hit the brakes. It’s noisy and honestly pretty annoying.

I’ve spent some time browsing Amazon and some off-road forums, but I’m overwhelmed by the options. I’ve seen those plastic grid dividers for the console and the heavy-duty molded bins for the rear, but I’m worried about getting something that feels cheap or rattles constantly while I’m driving. I’m looking for high-quality recommendations that actually fit the contours of the Silverado perfectly and don't look like an afterthought. My budget is around $200-$300 to get the whole cab organized if the quality is there.

For those of you who take pride in a clean rig, what are the best interior organizers you’ve actually used in your Chevy Silverado? Do you prefer the custom-fit dividers for the console, or have you found a specific under-seat brand that stays put?

Ok so, I’ve been exactly where you are and I'm always kinda cautious about cheap plastic junk rattling or sliding around—especially if you have to hit the brakes hard. For the console, I highkey recommend the Vehicle OCD - Center Console Organizer Tray for Chevy Silverado 1500 (2019-2022). It’s basically a custom-fit grid that fits SO tight it won’t move at all. For the back seat, I looked at these two options:
* DU-HA Under Seat Storage for Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab (2019-2023): This is the heavy-duty choice. It’s super secure for tools and straps, but it’s definitely on the pricier side.
* Husky Liners Underseat Storage Box for Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2019-2024): A bit more affordable and still has a decent fit, tho maybe not as rigid as the DU-HA. Honestly, getting a combo of these stays under ur $300 budget and keeps everything safe. Just make sure you double-check your cab size first! gl.

> My Silverado didn't come with the factory under-seat storage bin I would suggest the WeatherTech Under Seat Storage System for 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. It’s heavy-duty thermoplastic, works well, and I’m basically satisfied with how it eliminates tool rattle!!

TL;DR: For a zero-rattle setup, I’d look at ESP Truck Accessories Underseat Storage (aluminum) or Rough Country Under Seat Storage Compartment (thick HDPE). Stumbled upon this and honestly, i spent wayyy too much time looking at the material specs for these things lately. Tbh most people just buy whatever's cheapest, but if youre worried about it feeling flimsy or rattling, you gotta check the material density. Most of the big names use thin thermoformed plastic which can sometimes warp or buzz on the highway. If you want something that feels like a permanent part of the rig, ESP Truck Accessories Underseat Storage is a different beast. Its actually made of powder-coated aluminum, so its way more rigid and wont sag if you load it with heavy DIY tools. Its definitely the "pro" choice if you have the budget. For the console, BestEvMod Center Console Organizer is solid because the rubber mats are thicker than others I’ve seen. Basically keeps everything silent. Also, check out the fitment guides on the AmericanTrucks site, they have some good technical breakdowns of the mounting brackets. Hope that helps!

To add to the point above: material density really is the killer here. I bought one of those cheaper generic bins last year and it was honestly total junk. The plastic was way too thin—probably just low-density polyethylene—and it warped under the weight of my heavy tool bag after a hot summer. Pretty disappointing considering what they charge for molded plastic. If you want something that actually feels solid and wont rattle, check out the Tuffy Security Products Underseat Lockbox for Silverado. Its 16-gauge steel so it adds some weight, but it wont budge or vibrate like the thin plastic bins do. Its technically a security box too, which is a nice bonus if you carry anything valuable. For the console, I had issues with the fitment on some 'custom' ones that left gaps. The JDMCAR Full Center Console Insert Tray fits a bit tighter because of the thick rubber liners they include. It helps dampen the sound of coins or keys sliding around which is usually what drives me crazy. Just double check if you have the full bucket seats or the bench setup because the dimensions vary by just enough to cause a rattle if the tolerances aren't spot on.

Seriously, i have been dealing with this exact same nightmare for about six months now and it is driving me absolutely insane. Every time i take a corner even slightly too fast, i hear all my DIY gear just slamming against the interior plastic and it makes me cringe thinking about the potential damage. I am so cautious about adding anything that might rattle or come loose if i ever had to slam on the brakes, so i just havent pulled the trigger on any of these cheap looking bins yet. Basically, my setup is a disaster:

  • loose ratcheting straps tangled in a giant ball
  • levels and tape measures sliding into the back footwell
  • a center console that is basically a graveyard for random screws and drill bits Honestly, it feels like every option out there looks like thin, flimsy plastic that wont hold up to real weight. You really have to be careful with these things because a loose bin is just a safety hazard in my eyes if it shifts while you are driving... i dont want stuff flying around. I am still searching for something that actually feels solid, but i am getting nowhere and it is beyond frustrating. Make sure to let me know if you find something that actually fits tight because I am stuck too.
