I just pulled the trigger on a new 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, and man, I am absolutely loving the updated interior! However, now that the initial 'new car' excitement has settled, I’m realizing I need to get some protection and organization sorted before it starts looking lived-in. Since this is my first brand-new truck, I really want to keep it in pristine condition for as long as possible.
I live in an area where we get a fair amount of rain and mud, so I know the factory carpet mats aren't going to cut it for long. I’ve been looking at all-weather floor liners, but I’m torn between the official GM ones and aftermarket brands like WeatherTech. Also, that center console is massive, but it’s basically just a deep bucket right now—I’m already losing my keys and sunglasses in there! I’ve seen some tray organizers online, but I’m curious which ones actually fit the 2022+ refreshed interiors without rattling around.
I'm also considering a screen protector for that big infotainment display, but I'm worried about glare. For those of you who have had your Silverado for a while, what are the must-have interior accessories you’d recommend to a new owner? What’s the one thing you bought that actually made a daily difference in comfort or cleanliness?
Seconding those Husky mats! Also, check out the Spigen Glas.tR Slim Matte Screen Protector for $25... it uses a matte finish to kill glare so ur screen stays readable and cheap lol
So basically the consensus is that aftermarket mats and matte screen covers win over the pricey OEM stuff every time. • Safety first: Tbh, ensure mats have secure locking clips like 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Liners so they dont slide under ur pedals—that’s a huge hazard!!
• Stay focused: A Vehicle OCD Center Console Tray keeps essentials reachable so ur not distracted while driving. Seriously, prioritize that pedal clearance! Gl.
Sooo I went through this exact same situation last year when I got my truck. Honestly, I spent way too much on the GMC Official All-Weather Floor Liners initially, thinking "OEM is best," right? Well, unfortunately, I was kinda disappointed. The fitment was okay, but they felt a bit plasticky for the price. I ended up swapping them for Lasfit All-Weather Floor Liners for 2022-2024 Silverado 1500 because they use a TPE material that’s way more grippy and flexible. Basically, TPE handles the mud better without getting that slick, oily feeling when it’s wet. Plus they were way cheaper, which is a big win for the budget. About that "black hole" console... I had issues with stuff rattling around in the cheap plastic bins from Amazon. I eventually found that the Vancool Center Console Organizer for 2022-2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 actually has these textured rubber liners that keep ur keys quiet. It sounds technical, but the fitment tolerances on these aftermarket trays can be hit or miss; this one actually stayed put without shifting during turns. For the screen, I was super worried about the glare too cuz that 13.4-inch display is basically a giant mirror. I tried a cheap gloss one first—big mistake. I switched to the RUIYA 13.4-inch Matte Screen Protector for 2024 Silverado and it really helped with the fingerprint oils, though it does slightly soften the image sharpness due to the anti-glare coating. Just sharing my journey so u don't waste cash like I did... it's a trial and error process tbh! What's ur total budget looking like for the setup?
Ok so, I actually had issues with WeatherTech FloorLiner HP curling at the edges, which was super frustrating. Honestly, go with Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Mats instead because they're way more flexible and stay put. Also, you highkey need the JDMCAR Center Console Organizer Tray for that deep bucket. It basically makes the console usable and keeps your stuff organized. Peace!
