Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade the front end of my Chrysler 300 and really want to swap out the stock grille for something more unique. I’ve been browsing online but I’m torn between the classic heavy-mesh Bentley style and something a bit more modern like a matte black honeycomb look. I’m hoping to find something that fits perfectly without needing major modifications, and my budget is around $300-$500. Has anyone here had good experiences with specific brands like E&G Classics or T-Rex? I'm also curious if the adaptive cruise control sensors cause any fitment issues with certain aftermarket styles. What specific grilles would you guys recommend for a clean, premium look?

For your situation, I'd say you gotta look at the Spec-D Tuning Gloss Black Mesh Front Grille if you want that modern vibe without breaking the bank. It usually runs like $150-$200, so it’s way under budget! Honestly, if you have the adaptive cruise control sensors, you *gotta* be careful. Most honeycomb styles like the ProZ Mesh Grille Gloss Black are thin enough that they don't block the radar, but basically, you might need to DIY a sensor bracket to keep it centered. It’s actually pretty easy tho!!

yo! Honestly, upgrading the grille is like the #1 best thing you can do for a 300. It totally transforms the car's personality. I've messed with a few of these over the years and for your $300-$500 budget, you are right in the sweet spot for some high-quality stuff.

Before you dive in, you gotta realize that the grille is the 'face' of the car. It's why it matters so much! A cheap plastic one looks tacky, but a heavy stainless steel piece makes it look like a $100k luxury ride.

Here is what I recommend based on my own trial and error:

1. **The Classic Luxury Look**: If you want that 'Baby Bentley' vibe, E&G Classics Heavy Mesh Chrome Grille is the gold standard. I had this on my 2018 and the build quality is insane. It's actual heavy-duty metal, not plastic.
- **Pros**: Super premium feel, heavy weight, looks expensive.
- **Cons**: Installation is a bit more involved than a snap-on.

2. **The Modern/Aggressive Look**: For that stealthy honeycomb style you mentioned, go with the T-Rex Grilles ZROADZ Series Black Mesh Grille. I switched to this recently and I'm obsessed with the matte finish.
- **Pros**: Way more aggressive, fits perfectly with the blacked-out look.
- **Cons**: Shows bugs/dirt more than chrome lol.

About the sensors... yeah, you gotta be careful! If you have the Chrysler SafetyTec Plus Group with adaptive cruise, some thick mesh can mess with the radar. I'd highkey recommend looking for a 'sensor-compatible' version or a design where the mesh isn't too dense right in front of the radar plate. Most T-Rex grilles are actually pretty good about this tho! Good luck with the build, it's gonna look amazing!! peace

Seconding the recommendation above regarding the sensor issue. Honestly, if you have ACC, it's a *total* headache if the mesh is too thick. I've been there and had to recalibrate everything cuz of a cheap grille, so definately keep that in mind.

Since you're lookin for that premium vibe on a budget, you should check out the APG Black Horizontal Billet Grille. It's usually around $150-$250, so it's super cost-effective and gives that modern look without being too flashy. If you wanna go a bit more high-end but stay under your $500 cap, I've had great luck with the E&G Classics Black Ice Fine Mesh Grille. It's basically the gold standard for that "Baby Bentley" aesthetic but in a much more durable package than the generic ones you see on eBay.

Also, a quick tip for the install: don't forget to grab some 3M Auto Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape just in case the clips aren't 100% perfect. It helps prevent those annoying rattles down the road. gl! 👍
