Ive been wrenching on Hemis forever but this 2019 300 is being stubborn after I did the intake. Low-end torque feels sluggish and Im confused why. Got 2k saved up for more mods before my track day next month in Ohio. What performance upgrades are actually worth it to wake it up?

I would suggest focusing on two specific routes. First, look into a Diablosport inTune i3 Platinum with PCM Swap. Since yours is a 2019, the computer is locked, and that intake you installed is likely messing with your air-fuel ratios without a tune to compensate. Be careful here tho, as swapping a PCM can be finicky. Second, compare that to a BBK 85mm Power Plus Throttle Body. While the BBK helps with throttle lag and feels great, it is basically a band-aid if your mapping is off. I would recommend the tuner as the priority since it actually allows you to adjust for the mods you already have. Make sure to double check your sensors after the install... these cars are sensitive.

  • Im gonna have to respectfully disagree about jumping straight to a bigger throttle body for a 5.7! Honestly, I did the same thing on my old Charger years ago and it was a total nightmare for daily driving. It felt like I lost all that low-end grunt that makes these heavy cars fun in the first place. If you're hitting the track in Ohio next month, you gotta focus on survival and cooling! I remember my first time at Nelson Ledges... I was so hyped on my intake and bolt-ons but after five minutes my brakes were basically decorative and the car was pulling timing like crazy because of the heat. It was a huge wake-up call for me and kinda scary ngl. With your 2k budget, I would absolutely pick up a Mishimoto 180 Degree Racing Thermostat to keep those temps stable during hot laps. It makes an amazing difference in how consistent the car feels! Then, for the love of everything, get some better pads and rotors. I love the PowerStop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Upgrade Kit because it handles the weight of the 300 way better than stock without being noisy. Also, grab a Billet Technology Signature Series Catch Can. It is fantastic for keeping oil out of your intake, especially when you're high in the RPMs all day. Keeping the engine clean and cool is way more important than a few extra peak horsepower that you might not even feel at the track!

To add to the point above: unfortunately, stock springs are boat anchors. I had issues with weight transfer. Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs 28100.140 is cheap and lowers the CG to keep tires planted.
