I just signed the papers for a 2024 GV80 in Cardiff Green and im literally freaking out about keeping it clean because i have two young kids and we live in the PNW so its basically constant mud and rain every single day. I'm picking it up next Tuesday so I need to order stuff like right now. I've got about 500 or 600 bucks set aside for initial accessories and I'm totally torn on floor mats specifically.

  • Must be waterproof (obviously)
  • Need to cover as much of the carpet as possible because of the kids crumbs and spills
  • Cant look super cheap or truck-like since the interior is so nice and I dont want to ruin the vibe

I'm looking at the TuxMats vs the WeatherTech HP series and maybe even the Genesis OEM all-weather ones but the OEM ones look a bit thin to me? TuxMats look like they cover more of the sides which sounds great for muddy boots but I heard they can be a pain to install and might look too bulky in a luxury suv. WeatherTech is the classic choice but they always feel a bit plasticky and industrial which kinda clashes with the leather. Is the extra coverage of the TuxMats worth the extra work or should I just stick to the dealer options so it matches perfectly? Also does anyone have a recommendation for a good screen protector for that massive display? I'm worried about scratches from rings or the kids touching everything with sticky fingers... help me decide before I go broke buying everything...

Ive been so happy with 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Liners because they look high-end. Grab Vancity Genesis GV80 Tempered Glass Protector too, it works well against sticky fingers!

  • Honestly, those are cool, but being in the PNW means you gotta think about the trunk too because of all the rain gear. When I brought home my GV80, I went full nerd mode and looked at material density and thermal expansion specs for everything. You definitely want the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Genesis GV80. It uses a proprietary custom-blended TPE that stays flexible even when it gets freezing out, and the high lip design is amazing for containing mud. I literally had a gallon of water spill in the back during a camping trip and it didn't touch the carpet once! For the kids, you really need to protect the leather under their car seats too. I use the Lusso Gear Kids Car Seat Protector with Padding because it has high-density foam that prevents those nasty permanent indentations. It also has a technical anti-slip backing that wont melt onto your seats in the summer. For the display, dont just get a film... look for the RUIYA 14.5-inch Navigation Screen Protector for Genesis GV80. It has an oleophobic coating and 9H hardness rating that feels fantastic to the touch. It basically rejects fingerprints so the screen stays crystal clear even after the kids have been poking it. Check out the GenesisOwners.com forums if you want to see some crazy detailed install guides too!

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.

Unfortunately the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP felt super plastic and just plain cheap. Honestly, get TuxMat Genesis GV80 Custom Floor Mats and a Spigen Glas.tR Slim Screen Protector for GV80 instead. Lmk if you need help!
