I just picked up my new GV70 Sport last week here in rainy Seattle and honestly I am so nervous about ruining the interior. It is my first fancy car and I have literally no idea what I am doing or what I should be buying for it. I keep seeing people talk about all these different add-ons but it is all so confusing and I am scared of scratching the screens or getting mud on the nice floors.
I have about $400 set aside to get some stuff this weekend but I dont want to waste money on things I dont need. Like do I need seat covers or special mats or what? What are the absolute must-have interior accessories for someone who knows nothing about cars so I can keep it looking brand new?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have noticed over the years that most people totally forget about the piano black trim. In my experience, that center console is gonna look like a scratched mess within a month if you arent careful. Since you want to be budget-conscious, dont go crazy with expensive professional ceramic coatings just yet. Heres a few cheaper items I swear by to keep the cabin mint:
- Chemical Guys InnerClean Interior Quick Detailer and Protectant 16oz for wiping down surfaces without leaving a greasy film.
- The Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 500 Professional Microfiber Towels 16x16 because cheap rags will actually scratch your plastic trim.
- Xpel Interior Protection Film for Genesis GV70 Center Console to save those shiny black surfaces from swirls. Seriously tho, skip the bulky seat covers. They kinda ruin the vibe of the Sport interior. Just keep a nice microfiber handy to wipe off moisture after those Seattle downpours and youll be golden... it is way easier than trying to wash a heavy seat cover anyway.

In my experience, you should prioritize the footwell. I've found Genesis GV70 OEM All Weather Floor Mats TPE Rubber offer the most precise fitment and superior long-term moisture resistance.

^ This. Also, been thinking about your setup and honestly, if you're in Seattle, the trunk is gonna get wrecked without a decent liner. I've tried many over the years and the technical specs on the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Genesis GV70 High-Density Tri-Extruded Material make it the best choice for moisture retention. It has a high outer rim that keeps snow melt or mud from hitting the carpet. Beyond that, you gotta protect that 14.5-inch display. I highly recommend the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Genesis GV70 9H Hardness because it maintains touch sensitivity while preventing micro-scratches from dust.
- 9H hardness is vital for screen longevity to prevent oil etching
- TPE materials for the cargo area are superior to generic plastic
- Keep a 400 GSM microfiber in the console for the piano black trim Ngl dont bother with cheap PET films for the screen. They bubble and look terrible under direct light when the adhesive fails.
