Okay so I literally just got my Ioniq 5 yesterday and honestly I am kind of terrified of it. It is so different from my old Honda Civic it feels like I am driving a computer or something instead of a car. I dont even know where to put my phone because that middle area is just a big open floor? Like why is there so much empty space between the seats lol it makes no sense to me and my bag just falls over every time I go around a corner.
I live in Seattle so its basically always raining and I already tracked mud onto the white carpet floor mats which I am totally kicking myself for. I need to get those rubber mats everyone talks about but I dont even know what they are called or which brand fits this specific car since it has that sliding thingy in the middle. I also have a dog who sheds like crazy so I probably need something for the back seats so he doesnt ruin the leather or whatever the seats are made of. I think its some kind of recycled material?
My budget is maybe like 300 bucks for now because the car payment was a lot more than I thought it would be after all the fees and stuff. I am really worried about scratching the screens or that shiny plastic stuff on the doors too. I saw some people online have like these little trays that go in the armrest? That seems useful because right now my keys and coins are just flying around. I've heard people mention a few things but I am not sure if they are actually worth it:
- screen protectors for the dashboard
- rubber floor liners
- console organizers
- seat covers for pets
- trunk organizers
Sorry if this is all super basic stuff I am just really overwhelmed with the whole EV thing. It is a 2024 model in the light gray color and I really want to keep it looking nice but I have no idea where to start or what brands are actually good and not just cheap junk from some random website. What are the absolute must-have things I should buy for the inside of this car to keep it clean and organized?...

^ This. comparing TuxMat Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 and WeatherTech FloorLiner for Hyundai IONIQ 5. TuxMat is safer for coverage tho, but WeatherTech is easier for cleaning...

Late to the party but I'll have to disagree on focusing only on mats. Unfortunately, if you blow the whole budget there, you'll regret the messy console area. I've had issues with generic organizers rattling around... honestly a letdown.
- BestEVMod Center Console Organizer Tray for IONIQ 5: Fits well, tho the material feels thin.
- Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Hyundai IONIQ 5: Clarity is far superior to matte films. Methodical spending is key.

I have been very satisfied with how my cabin is holding up. Honestly, I was quite worried about those white carpets too, so I eventually went with some all-weather liners from WeatherTech. You basically cant go wrong with them. They handle the floor layout perfectly, which ensures there is no interference with the sliding console mechanism. Some people prefer TPE material alternatives, but these have been reliable for my needs.

To help out, do you plan on moving that sliding center console often? Also, are you looking for a heavy-duty seat cover for the dog or just a light barrier for when youre driving around?
