I just joined the Elantra N club and want to keep it protected! I’m looking for a low-profile dash cam that fits neatly around that large sensor housing behind the rearview mirror. Ideally, I want 4K quality and a reliable parking mode. For those already running one, what’s the best setup for a clean, hardwired install?
Curious about one thing: what’s ur max budget? Parking safety requires low-voltage cutoff. The 70mai A810 4K Dash Cam with Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 is around $130—solid value for hardwiring.
In my experience, the VIOFO A139 Pro 4K Dash Cam with Sony STARVIS 2 is basically the best for that tight space. It's got a super slim profile and the IMX678 sensor is literally elite for night detail. Tbh, check out the Thinkware U3000 4K UHD Dual-Channel Dash Cam if you want the best low-energy parking mode... it's kinda pricey tho but fits well. Both are pretty easy to hardwire! gl!

Jumping in here! Sooo, I've tried many dash cams over the years and ngl, I used to spend way too much. I think there are "integrated" styles now that actually replace your mirror's plastic shroud. Iirc they look totally stock and are way cheaper than the big brands. Not 100% sure if the 4K quality is elite, but the lesson I learned is you dont always gotta pay a premium for a clean install. gl!
Seconding the recommendation for the Viofo, but honestly, I've had issues with bulky mounts interfering with the EN's safety sensors. I mean, it looked so cluttered... I eventually tried the Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam for Hyundai Elantra N cuz it literally replaces the sensor cover for that OEM look. Tbh, the sensor tech isnt quite as elite as the VIOFO A139 Pro 2-Channel 4K Dash Cam, but for a clean install? Nothing beats it. Just get the hardwire kit for parking mode!

Just caught this thread. You gotta be careful with the headliner clips in the EN, they feel like theyll snap if you look at them wrong. I would suggest looking at these two if you care about performance:
