Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger on a Gen V Viper a few months ago, and while the car is an absolute beast on the road, I can't help but feel like the interior needs a little bit of a 'premium' touch to match that V10 performance. Don't get me wrong, the cockpit layout is driver-focused and great, but some of the plastic trim pieces around the center console and the window switches feel a bit lackluster for a car of this caliber.

I’ve been scouring the web for carbon fiber interior trim kits, but I’m finding a massive range in quality and price, which is getting a bit confusing. I’m really looking for that high-gloss, deep weave look that screams quality, rather than those thin 'carbon-look' stickers that you see on some of the cheaper sites. I’ve looked at a few options from specialized vendors, but I wanted to get some real-world feedback from the community before I commit to a purchase.

One thing I’m particularly worried about is the fitment. I’ve heard a few horror stories about pieces not lining up perfectly around the AC vents or the adhesive backing failing after a few hot summer days. Also, I’m trying to decide if it's better to go with full replacement panels or if the high-quality overlays are actually worth it. I’m really picky about the weave pattern—I’d love to find something in a 2x2 twill that matches the factory carbon exterior bits if possible.

I'm specifically looking to refresh the main center stack, the bezel surrounding the shifter, and the door switch panels. Has anyone here installed a kit recently? I'm especially interested in brands that have a solid reputation for UV protection, as I’m terrified of the resin yellowing or cracking after a year of sun exposure.

Which specific brands or vendors have you guys used that offer the best 'OEM+' fit and finish for a Viper interior upgrade?

Sooo I saw this earlier and wanted to chime in because I'm super cautious about this stuff too. Honestly, I had a pretty bad experience with some cheap eBay pieces that literally warped and started peeling after one summer in the sun... it was such a bummer. If ur looking for that premium 2x2 twill look without spending thousands on full replacements, I'd seriously look into the Tufskinz Carbon Fiber Interior Door Switch Trim Kit or their center console pieces.

They use real carbon fiber but it's a bit more budget-friendly than the full swap kits. Basically, you're looking at around $150-$250 depending on the piece. Just a heads up tho—I'm a total beginner with DIY stuff and I was terrified of the adhesive failing. I'd definitely recommend grabbing a bottle of 3M Tape Primer 94 to prep the plastic first. It's like $15 and makes a HUGE difference for safety and long-term hold so things don't fly off while ur driving! Better safe than sorry, right? gl with the build!! 👍

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before going the full replacement route because those kits are seriously pricey! Understanding the difference between dry carbon and wet-lay is key; basically, dry carbon is lighter and stronger but wet-lay has that deeper, high-gloss 2x2 twill look you're after. Honestly, I'd skip the full panels and get the Viper Specialty Performance Gen V Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Overlays instead. I mean, the fitment is literally perfect and you'll save a ton on labor costs. Just make sure to prep with 3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 so the heat won't peel 'em off. Plus, they use an amazing high-solids UV clear coat that's fantastic for preventing that nasty yellowing!

yo, congrats on the Gen V! i was in the same boat last year cuz the plastic just feels kinda cheap right? anyway i bought the Viper Specialty Performance Gen V Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit and honestly i'm so happy with it. it's a 2x2 twill that literally matches the OEM exterior carbon perfectly. i was scared of the heat too but so far no yellowing at all!! fitment around the vents was basically perfect so yeah i'd say go for it, totally transforms the cabin vibes lol.

Seconding the recommendation above for specialized vendors! I totally agree that going for that 2x2 twill is the way to match the OEM vibe. Honestly though, as someone who's super cautious about long-term durability, I gotta warn you about the heat... those summer cabin temps will kill cheap adhesive!!

If you're worried about the resin yellowing, you basically have two paths:

1. **High-End Overlays**: Brands like Viper Specialty Performance Gen V Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit use automotive-grade UV clears. They're great because you don't have to tear your dash apart, but you MUST prep the surface perfectly.
2. **Full Replacements**: If you want zero risk of peeling, TruFiber Carbon Fiber Interior Dash Trim is amazing since it replaces the plastic entirely.

I'd highly suggest grabbing some 3M Adhesion Promoter 111 before installing anything. It's way more reliable than the standard stuff. Just be careful with the vents... if the fit isn't 100%, don't force it or you'll crack the resin! good luck!!
