Essential exterior upgrades for the new Dodge Hornet?

Hey everyone! I just picked up my new Dodge Hornet last week, and while I’m absolutely loving the punchy performance so far, I can’t help but feel like the exterior could use a little more 'sting' to match that aggressive front end. It’s a sharp-looking compact SUV, but it still feels a bit too factory-standard when parked next to some of the older Mopar builds in my neighborhood.

I’ve been browsing a few shops, but since the Hornet is still relatively fresh on the market, the aftermarket options seem a bit scattered. I’m really looking to sharpen the silhouette without going totally overboard or compromising the daily drivability. I’m already planning on a professional window tint and a full chrome delete to give it that stealthier look, but I’m stuck on what to do next. I've been eyeing some front lip spoilers to give it a more planted stance, and I’m also curious if anyone has found a good source for blacked-out badging that actually fits the new logo style.

Has anyone here experimented with wheel spacers to get a more flush fitment with the stock rims, or maybe added some subtle side skirts? I’m trying to keep this first round of visual mods under $1,200. For those of you who have already started personalizing yours, what do you consider the absolute essential exterior upgrades to make the Hornet really stand out from the crowd?

For your situation, I’d focus on the 'small wins' that add up without blowing your $1,200 budget. I’ve been messing with Mopars for a while and honestly, the little details matter most.

Here’s what I recommend for the badging:
• Luxe Auto Concepts Dodge Hornet Emblem Overlay Kit: This is basically high-quality vinyl. It's way cheaper than buying new badges and super easy to DIY.
• OEM Blackout Badges: These look more 'factory,' but they're pricey and you gotta deal with heat guns and adhesive. Tbh, the overlays are just as good for a daily.

Also, if you're worried about that flush fitment, I’d suggest H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers 15mm. I’ve always found them more reliable for long-term use because they’re TUV certified. For the front, maybe check out the Ikon Motorsports Dodge Hornet Front Lip Splitter as a budget-friendly alternative to get that aggressive stance. Just be careful with steep driveways!! gl man!

Yo! I felt the same way when I got mine last month. Honestly, I was so worried about the price, but here's what I recommend for your situation:

• Bonoss Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers 15mm for like $160. The stance looks sooo much better now!!
• Dodge Hornet Blackout Badge Kit ($60).
• Vicrez Dodge Hornet Front Lip Spoiler ($250).

These basically changed the whole vibe for me. Gl!

Yo! Late to the party but I definitely wanted to jump in since ur talking about mods that affect safety. I've been around the block with Mopars for a while now and honestly, the exterior 'sting' is way more satisfying when u know the car is still 100% reliable for daily driving...

Since ur looking for resources, check out DodgeGarage.com or even the Mopar Connection Magazine forums. They have some deep dives on part fitment that are super helpful for newer models like the Hornet. If ur looking for that flush look, I highkey recommend checking out H&R Trak+ 15mm Wheel Spacers instead of generic ones. They are hub-centric and TUV-certified, which basically means they're tested for high-speed safety in Europe. Cheap spacers can cause vibrations or even stud failure, which is a total nightmare u dont want lol.

Also, for the front lip, look into the ZL1 Addons Dodge Hornet Deluxe Front Splitter. They focus a lot on the hardware and making sure things dont just fly off at 80mph. Pro tip: If u do spacers, u MUST re-torque your lug nuts after about 50 miles. Seriously, it's a huge safety thing that people forget all the time! Anyway, hope the build goes well, ur already off to a great start with the tint and chrome delete!! 👍

Coming back to this—I went through this exact same thing last year!! I was highkey obsessed with getting that aggressive look while staying under a $1,200 budget. For my chrome delete, I compared a professional shop quote ($400+) against the Crux Moto Dodge Hornet Window Trim Chrome Delete Kit which is only like $65. I ended up going the DIY route with the kit; it’s basically a sticker but it looks surprisingly factory if you take ur time with a heat gun.

Technical-wise, I also debated between the spacers mentioned earlier and the H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers 15mm for about $150. I felt the H&R ones had a slightly better hub-centric fitment for the Hornet's specific bolt pattern, which gave me more peace of mind for daily driving. To finish the front, I skipped the expensive stuff and tried the Maxton Design Front Splitter V.1 Dodge Hornet for roughly $185. It’s a bit more subtle than a full race lip but honestly makes the car look way lower than it actually is. So happy with how it turned out... good luck with the build dude!! 👍
