Should I get the Mopar cold air intake or is the K&N Typhoon actually better for a 2023 Scat Pack? I literally just signed the papers today here in Orlando and I want to get something installed before this big car meet next Saturday so I'm in a huge rush. I'm torn because the Mopar one looks way more factory but the K&N is like a hundred bucks cheaper and I've heard it sounds way more aggressive under the hood. My budget is pretty tight at $500 max since the dealer fees killed me but I want that extra growl. Is the Mopar worth the extra cash for the fitment or should I just save the money for gas and go with K&N?

I'd suggest being cautious here. Compare J&L Oil Separator 3.0 Black Anodized for protection versus Dodge Hellcat Lower Airbox 68175164AC. One prevents buildup but lacks growl; the other is cheap but fairly subtle.

In my experience with these 6.4L engines, the Mopar Cold Air Intake System 77070043AC looks the most professional, but the K&N 69 Series Typhoon Performance Intake 69-2545TP is definitely the better value for your situation.

  • it delivers a much louder induction roar
  • installation is simple enough for a Saturday morning
  • keeps you way under that $500 budget Go with the K&N, it sounds meaner for less cash.

Congrats on the Scat Pack! I remember my first Hemi build, the induction roar was basically all I lived for. Since you want technical performance, check out the aFe Power Momentum GT Pro 5R Cold Air Intake System. It uses a high-quality rotomolded housing which beats metal for heat soak any day! Keeping those intake air temps low is key for the 6.4L. It sounds amazing and fits your budget.
