Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve finally secured a build slot for the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale. Since this is such a track-focused beast, I really want to lean into that aggressive aesthetic, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the aftermarket and OEM carbon fiber options available.
The car already comes with incredible aero, but I feel like there’s room to elevate the look even further. I’m specifically looking at upgrading the engine bay with more carbon shielding or perhaps looking into more pronounced carbon fiber side skirts that flow with the existing winglets. I’m also torn between sticking with the standard gloss finish to match the factory parts or experimenting with a matte weave for a more 'race-ready' contrast.
Has anyone here experimented with carbon fiber paddle shifter extensions or custom interior trim pieces for the SF90 platform? I want to make sure any additions stay true to the XX’s performance-first philosophy without looking cluttered. Given the unique active aero on this model, I’m also a bit worried about fitment issues. Which specific carbon fiber accessories do you think best complement the SF90 XX Stradale’s lines, and are there any particular brands you’d trust with such a high-end machine?
yo, congrats on the slot! In my experience, stick with gloss cuz mixing finishes on a car this expensive looks messy. Ive used Novitec Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Covers on several builds and fitment is basically OEM. For aero, definitely go Novitec Carbon Fiber Side Panels to match those XX lines. dont skip the Capristo Ferrari SF90 Carbon Paddle Shifters either—they feel WAY better on track. Its pricey but ur getting what u pay for. Cheers!
Respectfully, I'd consider another option instead of just chasing the big-name brands mentioned earlier. You can lowkey get the same technical specs without the "brand tax" by checking out RSC Tuning Ferrari SF90 Carbon Fiber Side Skirts. * Always prioritize "Dry Carbon" (pre-preg) for better heat resistance and weight.
* Verify the weave GSM matches your factory parts so it doesn't look mismatched. Basically, focus on the tech specs rather than the label to save some cash. GL!
> "Always prioritize "Dry Carbon" (pre-preg) for better heat resistance and weight." +1 to what was said earlier. Seriously, dont cut corners on the SF90 XX. I've spent years tracking these builds and unfortunately, I've seen "budget" carbon pieces warp or even crack under the extreme heat soak of that engine bay... not as good as expected when youre pushing 1000hp. Basically, your choice comes down to safety vs aesthetics. Option A: OEM - Safest but honestly lacks that "XX" aggression.
Option B: Mansory Ferrari SF90 Dry Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Shielding - Expensive, but the heat tolerance is technical perfection.
Option C: DarwinPRO Carbon Fiber Extended Paddle Shifters - Great for track ergonomics, but ensure they're pre-preg so they dont feel flimsy. Dry carbon is the only way for a track beast. Mixing matte and gloss looks messy imo, so stay consistent. Safety-first perspective: check those mounting points twice cuz the active aero pressure is insane at high speeds!! gl
Seconding that! Gloss is key. Personally, 1016 Industries Carbon Fiber Side Skirts flow nicely. I think they highkey improve underbody airflow without looking cluttered. They've worked well for me, no complaints!
Saving this whole thread. So much good info here you guys are awesome.
