What indoor cover are you guys actually using for the 296 GTB to keep the dust off? Just took delivery of a Rosso Imola 296 last week here in Scottsdale and man, the dust in my garage is already driving me absolutely insane. I spent way too much on the paint to let it sit there getting filthy while I’m not driving it. I’ve been looking around and obviously the OEM Ferrari cover is the first thing that pops up. It looks great in the photos with the logo and the red color match but I’ve read on some other boards that the material is actually pretty flimsy and doesn’t really stop the finer dust from getting through to the surface. It’s almost like a glorified bedsheet from what some owners say which is disappointing for the price they charge.

I also checked out the Covercraft Form-Fit since I’ve used them on my Porsches before. People say they’re way better for actual protection because of the inner lining but I’m worried about the heat. The 296 gets incredibly hot in the back after a run and I’m paranoid about trapping all that heat under a thick cover, especially with the hybrid setup and the glass over the engine. I don’t want to bake the electronics or something stupid just because I wanted a clean car. Plus some say the Form-Fit is a bit bulky and hard to wash if it gets dirty.

Is there a middle ground that fits perfectly but actually has some weight to it? Budget isn’t really the main concern—I’m willing to spend for quality since the car was $350k+ but I want something that won’t swirl the paint if I’m taking it on and off once a week. I need to get this sorted before I head out on a business trip in about three weeks. Should I just stick with the factory one for the "look" or is there a specific aftermarket brand that fits the 296 dimensions perfectly without the heat soak issues?
